As Angel heard Airi's scream, it brought him back to his senses.
"W-what?"
He stared at his blood-soaked hands, felt the blood on his lips with his fingers.
"No!"
Angel crawled away from Jin's body, his taste still lingering on his mouth.
Soon after, the silhouette that Airi saw back in the hallway from above, stood in front of Jiro and Airi, smiling at them, showing its teeth.
"N-no!"
Airi cried as he pushed Jiro towards it.
"You fucking bi-"
The unknown being leaped towards Jiro's back and tore through its flesh with its sharp teeth.
Angel and Airi watched as Jiro fell to ground, its blood squirting out from within.
The being laughed, as if enjoying a hearty meal.
Not long after, it then looked at both of them.
Airi sat down due to his legs giving out from fear.
It slowly walked towards them with an eerie smile on its face, with Jiro's blood still visible inside its mouth.
"Airi! Get back!"
As soon as she heard it, she immediately crawled and hid behind Angel's back.
"No, no... I told you to keep still."
The voice of an old man could be heard behind the hallway.
Soon after, an old man holding a cane and a lantern entered the room. Its eyes as blue as the ocean and was wearing an attire that butlers wore back in time.
"Stay back! That thing will eat you!"
The old man seemingly ignored the warning and walked closer.
The creature started to step back as the old man moved closer.
"Come back here."
The old man raised the lantern, and soon, we witnessed a scene that seemed impossible.
An unknown force pulled the creature and shrunk it before being trapped inside the lantern.
"So it's you..."
The old man said as he looked at me.
"I am the blood butler Augustus, pleased to meet you all."
"What?"
Angel looked at Airi's expression, her face was as if she saw a demon. Her face pale, her eyes dead frozen as she stared at the old man.
"My-my, an unwelcomed guest intruded."
He smiled, revealing a set of fangs similar to Angel's
In a split second, Airi's neck was at the hands of Augustus. He lifted her up before opening his mouth.
As Angel was also frozen in fear, he had witness a gruesome scene as he watches her to be devoured.
"WHY!? Why is this happening to me!"
Angel shouted in frustration and anger.
"I just wanted to live a peaceful life yet ever since we moved here, nothing has ever been peaceful!"
As I cried out my frustrations.
Another man entered the room. His face was of a handsome man, blonde long hair with crimson eyes. Wearing a noble's attire whilst holding a cane.
"Augustus, put that young girl down."
The man said with authority.
"As you wish my prince, Malachi."
He laid Airi down unconscious on the floor.
"Young man, do not be afraid, I do not wish to harm you."
He extended his hand to me.
"Lies... monsters, you're just like all of them! Just kill me already!"
He looked at Malachi with hateful expression with tears flowing from his eyes.
"*smirks* It's the truth, believe me."
He took my arm and helped me stand up.
"I apologize for the mess that my companion have created, I am truly sorry."
He bowed his head down.
Angel's thoughts started to have conflict, whether he wanted to make him guilty for what he has done to them or whether they deserved the death they received.
"I don't know anymore..."
As Angel turned around and looked at Airi's fine skin, the feeling of hunger came back to him.
An uncontrollable craving for blood. Angel tried his best to suppress the urges but the longer he continued to stare, the stronger his craving for blood became.
He breathed heavily, his thoughts being overwhelmed by his own instincts.
Soon after, Malachi walked to him and covered his eyes. Angel's urges to rip her apart and devour her, started to calm down in every breath.
"Augustus, take her to a clean room upstairs and let her rest."
"Yes, lord prince."
Augustus lifted her up and carried her upstairs, leaving the both of them alone in the basement room.
"What is happening to me?"
Angel asked.
Malachi took his hand off from his eyes.
"Do you know what you just drank from the vile?"
Malachi asked, as he walked to the coffin and covering it with its lid.
"The vile?"
Angel remembers the red liquid that was poured inside his mouth.
"You mean that red liquid?"
Angel asked, still wary of Malachi.
"That liquid... was my brother's blood."
He replied as he blew away all the dusts from the coffin's lid with a single wave from his hands.
"Blood? Wait, then why did when I drank it... I started having this urges. It doesn't make anything sense!"
Angel asked, his sanity started to wear down.
"Angel, have you heard of vampires or werewolves?"
He asked as he turned his head to look at Angel behind him.
"Vampires...?"
"Wait... then are you saying that..."
Malachi, turned around and faced Angel.
"This is a truth that you must now accept Angel."
