May chuckled. She raised her head to stare at me.
"It's crazy. I know, right? Melissa dating the richest eligible bachelor in town. How could anyone have known that? Wow, such a lucky bitch. I knew the moment I saw her that she was in a different class. It feels good to be right." She kept on gushing about Melissa.
I wouldn't be shocked if she rushed over to kiss her feet with the way she was. She looked like Melissa swallowed the sun and was the source of everything good in life.
I snorted. It was crazy because it wasn't true.
Would she believe me if I told her the truth? I doubted that. She would think I was bitter and trying to ruin Melissa's joy. Everyone knew how unhappy I was with her presence and losing control of the Osten project.
No, no one would believe me.
I glanced at May and sighed, grateful that I hadn't blurted out the truth.
