Chapter 13 - Chapter 13: Red Flag - X Drake

"Boss, what were you doing out all night?" Muret carefully stitched the wound on Bellamy's chest.

"We were out of money, so I went out to pick some up."

The ship's doctor's movements were gentle; he felt no pain at all as she sewed him up. So her rough handling the first time they met had definitely been on purpose, huh?

"Pick some up?" Muret was clearly puzzled.

"Yeah, the streets are crawling with pirates. Just find a few with high bounties, twist their heads off, and you can trade them in for cash."

"Gyahahahaha!" Bellamy suddenly burst out laughing, as if he'd remembered something amusing.

So that's what 'picking up money' means? I get it, I get it. Muret rolled her eyes and gave his arm a sharp slap. "Don't move around so much. The wound on your arm is pretty serious."

The shot he'd fired at himself had damaged the bone. However, medical techniques in the pirate world, especially for treating gunshot wounds and external injuries, were incredibly advanced. As long as you didn't bleed out on the spot, even a quack doctor had a decent chance of patching you up. This had more to do with the unique medicinal herbs of this world than any particular medical skill.

"Get me healed up quickly. I can't afford to lie in bed for too long."

Bellamy's tone was urgent, which piqued Muret's curiosity. "Captain, why are you pushing yourself so hard?" It was like something terrifying was chasing him. She just couldn't understand it.

Knock, knock, knock. Someone was at the door.

"Excuse me, Bellamy-sama."

It was the tavern owner, coming to deliver the heads.

"Come in. Put the things down, and you can leave."

Bellamy couldn't be bothered with the old man. The fact that the tavern owner hadn't stood up to fight last night made Bellamy look down on him. After all these years, he was just an old dog.

"Yes, yes, my apologies for disturbing you, Bellamy-sama." The tavern owner bowed respectfully as he placed the prepared heads in the courtyard.

Muret looked at the boxes with curiosity. "What's this?"

"Bounties." Bellamy pointed at the boxes. "This is my haul from one night's work."

Just then, a series of hurried footsteps approached from outside. "Captain, sir! The pirates in town are all talking about you in secret."

Mia seemed to have overheard some rumors.

After causing such a commotion, Bellamy was rather curious about what others thought of him. "Talking about me? What are they saying?"

"Why you suddenly became so strong, of course, giggle." Mia covered her mouth and giggled.

"Hah, those scum." As expected, that was the only thing these pirates cared about.

"Oh, and Captain, sir, Ross is still helping you recruit."

Bellamy had previously ordered Ross to recruit some sailors to do odd jobs. After all, he was severely short-handed; their small ship couldn't be sailed by just the few of them.

"Mm, has he found anyone?"

The North Blue was truly too small. Right now, the most famous pirate in the North Blue was actually a completely unheard-of crew: the Red Flame Pirates.

Bounty: 30,000,000 - "Red Flame" Agate.

He was said to be able to spew flames from his mouth, a suspected Devil Fruit user with fire-based abilities.

"Just some lowlifes you wouldn't be interested in, Captain. But there's one strange guy who seems a bit interesting."

"A strange guy?" Hearing this, Bellamy's interest was piqued. "Bring him to me."

"Yes, sir."

Soon, this "strange guy" was brought before Bellamy.

He was a man with a defiant look on his face, his expression slightly brooding. He wore a hooded jumpsuit, his hands shoved into his pockets. Even under Bellamy's scrutiny, he stood tall, refusing to lower his head.

This man was indeed a bit interesting.

"Hey, what's your name?" Bellamy was definitely intrigued.

"Drake."

"Red Flag - X Drake."

Such a familiar name... Wait, it's him!

Bellamy quickly remembered who this kid was.

Fallen Marine Rear Admiral - Red Flag - X Drake.

One of the Eleven Supernovas of the Worst Generation.

User of the Dragon-Dragon Fruit, Ancient Zoan Type, Allosaurus Model.

It was strange. Why was he here? At this point in time, he shouldn't be a Rear Admiral yet. But in the original story, didn't Drake leave the Marines after becoming a Rear Admiral to become a pirate?

How odd?

Bellamy couldn't understand what had happened to Drake. What he didn't know was that, at the moment of his transmigration, a certain Devil Fruit user with special abilities in Mary Geoise had observed an anomaly in fate.

CP0-CP9, plus the Navy Headquarters' secret special forces, had dispatched a large number of personnel to search for the source of the disturbance. Drake just happened to be assigned to Bellamy's location.
