Chapter 18 - Chapter 18: A Grave Crisis

Rustle rustle…

A strange sound came from the bushes.

"Everyone, be careful!"

"Be on guard!"

There was movement in the grass, and Bellamy, taking out his pistol, fired a shot.

Bang.

With the gunshot, a rabbit hopped out.

A false alarm.

"Phew."

Just as everyone sighed in relief, Drake, standing at the back of the formation, suddenly cried out in alarm, "Look, what is that?!"

"My god!"

What was that thing?!

A gigantic beast, as tall as a small mountain, suddenly stood up from the forest.

This monster was definitely over twenty meters tall, and with just a single breath, it whipped up a fierce wind in the sky.

There was such a terrifying monster on Minion Island? Where did this thing come from, and why hadn't they noticed it before?

"That thing is called a saber-toothed tiger?"

Like hell it was a saber-toothed tiger. More like a saber-toothed tiger's ancestor.

"It's... it's looking this way!"

The giant beast had clearly noticed Bellamy's group and was observing them with a strange look in its eyes.

It was the look a cat might give a butterfly, full of eager anticipation.

At this gaze, the hairs on Bellamy's entire body stood on end.

A grave crisis!

"Everyone, run!" The intelligence was seriously flawed.

Bellamy immediately gave the order to retreat.

The more critical the moment, the more a person's true nature is revealed.

Facing a sudden and terrifying enemy, Bellamy told everyone to retreat, but he himself stepped out of the formation, blocking the monster's path.

"First Gear! Springman!"

Without hesitation, Bellamy activated his still-immature First Gear mode. Instantly, his body felt like it had been filled with a bucket of molten iron, burning intensely all over.

"Boss!"

Ross and the others were shocked to see Bellamy's actions.

This scene also deeply shocked Drake. "Why isn't he running?"

No matter how Drake thought about it, he couldn't understand why the Hyena dared to stay behind and cover their retreat when facing such a terrifying monster.

Was this still the same Hyena from the intelligence reports, the one who bullied the weak and feared the strong, the one who was utterly greedy?

Something felt off.

"Shut up, all of you, run!"

If he wanted to escape, could Bellamy not get away?

He was, after all, a Springman.

At full power, he could run from the depths of the forest to Neon Town in just half an hour.

But Bellamy would absolutely not run away like this.

He'd gone to great lengths to build up this team, and the opportunity to learn the Six Powers was also here.

Most importantly, how could he run without even fighting?

As his thoughts raced, First Gear slowly reached its limit.

Bellamy felt his blood boiling like magma, his heart pounding like an engine.

He knew that his body must be bright red and scorching hot right now.

But this state was the strongest form he could currently achieve.

This mountain-sized monster was, as Bellamy had guessed, the ancient ancestor of the saber-toothed tiger.

Its name was the Sandra Gigantic Tiger.

Due to its size and appetite, this beast would spend most of its time lying down and sleeping, rarely moving.

Almost no one on Minion Island knew that such a terrifying creature existed in the forest.

But not knowing didn't mean it wasn't there.

Just like now, Bellamy's group had unfortunately encountered it.

And they had woken it up.

"Roar."

The giant beast roared, and half the forest instantly erupted in a frenzy, with countless birds and beasts fleeing in terror.

Such power was truly terrifying.

The more it was like this, the more he couldn't let it run amok.

If he didn't stop it, his subordinates would definitely be crushed to pieces.

"Hey, look over here!"

With a shout, Bellamy's figure vanished from the spot.

The next second, a phantom image abruptly appeared in the air. He had arrived near the beast's nose in an instant, about twenty meters above the ground.

Adopting a posture like a tiger about to pounce, Bellamy hung suspended in mid-air, his arms drawn back to their absolute limit.

Concentrating all his strength into his fists, a "thunk" sound, like a bowstring stretched to its breaking point, echoed in the air.

To the Sandra Gigantic Tiger, Bellamy, who was less than two meters tall, was just a bug.

But no one likes a bug flying around in front of them, especially one that makes strange noises.

So, the giant beast raised its right paw, intending to swat him dead on the spot.

It was at this moment that Bellamy let out a crazed roar, "First Gear - Spring Punch!"

His fists, retracted to their limit, shot out, carrying all of Bellamy's strength, landing squarely on the beast's nose.

The faint roar of a tiger could be heard in the air.

This punch came out of nowhere, easily piercing the fragile skin on the nose, blowing half of the giant beast's nose to pieces.

Countless bits of flesh rained down from the sky, creating a bloody downpour.

Too fast.

This punch had definitely approached the speed of sound.

The Sandra Gigantic Tiger had absolutely no chance to react to this level of speed.

What does it feel like to have half your nose blown off?

Unbearable pain, agonizing torment.

The Sandra Gigantic Tiger immediately collapsed to its knees, clutching its nose and wailing in pain.

The situation seemed to have shifted, but Bellamy knew very well that such injuries were insignificant to a monster of this size.

It wouldn't even affect the battle much.

When this giant beast recovered, he would surely face a furious onslaught.

"So, get the hell out of here!"

Even the aftershocks of the battle would be unbearable for his current subordinates.

Seizing the opportunity while the beast was crying in pain, Bellamy looked down to find his companions, wanting to see how far they had run.

"Wait."

"What is Drake doing?!"

To his surprise, he saw that Drake was still standing there, adopting a fighting stance.

He quickly landed on the ground and rushed to Drake's side. "You bastard, what are you doing?!"

"I want to fight." Drake still had that taciturn expression.

But this time, Bellamy wasn't going to indulge him. "Are you kidding me?"

"What makes you think you can?"

"Your less than two-meter height?" Drake's physique was slender, and he didn't look very strong.

Hearing such mockery, Drake's expression instantly turned ferocious. "You didn't run, so why should I?"

"Am I supposed to be inferior to a small-time gangster?"

Drake naturally wouldn't voice such sentiments, but the defiance and arrogance brimming within him were almost overflowing.

"Damn it!"

"Are you messing with me?"

At this moment, the Sandra Gigantic Tiger had recovered from the excruciating pain and was now consumed by rage.

Its blood-red eyes and overwhelming killing intent were sweeping towards them.
