Chapter 76:
The Betrayer's Map
The skies were silent, too silent.
Even the stars blinked with hesitation as if they feared what might awaken next. Deep within the sanctum of Errin's hidden domain, the newly reborn Nayel stood at the center of a massive celestial compass—a forgotten relic encoded with the betrayals of a time before time.
Errin, pale and still recovering from his wounds, knelt before the compass, fingers brushing ancient carvings with reverence and rage. Each rune sparked with a memory, a fracture in history that had once been sealed away by the Ancestors.
> "This," Errin spoke quietly, "is the Betrayer's Map. The heavens forged it, the gods buried it, and our blood was spilled to hide it."
Nayel's eyes burned as they scanned the map. From this artifact, threads of old alliances and sacred oaths emerged—some still intact, others broken by treachery. And one thread pulsed red: the signature of a still-living betrayer hidden among the Divine Clans.

I. The Path of Deceit
The map twisted, reforming, revealing veiled pathways through the multiverse. Whole galaxies that had been isolated reconnected with arcs of golden energy. Planets long thought lost flickered with sudden life. But not all paths led to salvation.
In the lower quadrant, where darkness roamed and forgotten oaths burned, a circle of thirteen stars formed—a hidden council, long thought extinguished. Nayel saw them.
> The Thirteen Scorching Palms—betrayers of the old blood.
> "They were supposed to be dead," Errin whispered, his voice trembling. "I saw their flames extinguished myself."
> "No," Nayel responded, eyes narrowing. "They only played dead, father. Their fire now feeds a new rebellion."
And in the center of their conspiracy, a single sigil glowed:
The Mark of the Eclipsed Flame.
It was Nayel's birthright. And their greatest fear.

II. Echo of the Betrayer
Meanwhile, in the Seventh Heaven, under a veil of shadow, the Betrayer King stirred.
He had felt the pulse when Nayel awakened.
He had seen the map shudder open through his ancient mirror-pool.
> "The child returns… not as a lamb, but as a lion."
"Then we shall release the wolves."
He summoned the Shrouded Hunt, twelve beings bred from the essence of fallen gods and corrupted time. One of them, cloaked in frost and fire, bowed low.
> "Seek the bloodline. Find the father and the son. End the legacy."
Their howls echoed into the fabric of the worlds.
---
III. Alliance of the Forsaken
Back in the sanctum, Nayel traced the path to a forsaken world—Tethrios, where those cast out by both gods and men had made their last stand. They had once been guardians of balance. Now, they lived in seclusion, hunted and forgotten.
> "We need allies," Nayel said. "Those who remember truth beyond loyalty."
Errin nodded. "Tethrios is dangerous. But they may still remember what your coming means."
With a single breath, Nayel activated the ancient compass. A portal tore through the sanctum, swirling with stardust and memory. They would leave within hours, to gather strength, to awaken what had been buried.
But as the portal opened, a shadow stepped through from the other side—
> "You carry his light," the figure whispered. "But will you carry his war?"
A cloaked warrior stood before them, holding the severed crown of a minor god and a blade humming with old anger.
> "I am Kei'la of the Fallen Spiral. I followed the echoes. I seek the heir of the Flame."
> Nayel stepped forward. "You've found him."
---
IV. The March Begins
As stars aligned and enemies gathered, the stage of the divine was slowly set.
The map glowed, brighter than ever before.
The bloodline had returned.
The Betrayers were watching.
And across galaxies, mortals and gods alike held their breath—for war, for truth, and for the final confrontation between fate and will.
