Chapter 1 - A boy who sings

RING! RING! RING!

An alarm rang nonstop, disturbing the silence that permeated the room.

A hand slipped out of the blanket and turned it off. A groan resounded from beneath the blanket as the figure of a boy sat on the bed.

"I hate Mondays."

The boy stretched his arms and got up from the bed. With clumsy steps, he made his way towards the bathroom.

As he entered the bathroom, his reflection greeted his presence.

The boy stood in front of the bathroom's mirror and gazed at his reflection.

"Not bad, not bad at all."

The boy combed back his hair with his hand and struck a pose.

"Definitely a handsome even though I'm a five feet nine inches tall and skinny boy."

The boy smiled at his reflection and retrieved his toothbrush from a toothbrush holder.

He spun and sang:

♪Let me speak,

Let me sob,

Let me sing,

Let me smile♪

The boy started to brush his teeth as he danced across the bathroom.

♪Speak the word,

Sob in tear,

Sing the song,

Smile in mirth♪

After the boy finished brushing his teeth, he rinsed his mouth and washed his face. He then fetched his towel and headed for a shower.

♪They say I'm lame,

After about thirty minutes, the boy came out of the bathroom with the towel covering his lower body parts.

His arms were wide apart as he faced the ceiling of the room.

♪THEY SAY I'M NEVER MORE! ♪

The boy approached his ward-robe and opened it. He then shuffled across his clothes until he found his school uniform.

♪Let me skip,

Let me stand,

Let me dash,

The boy rested his uniform on the bed which consisted of a dark brown coat with a school emblem woven on its left side, white shirt, a light gray tie and a dark brown pair of trousers.

♪Eye is black,

The boy retrieved a bottle of lotion and applied some of it on his face. He then started to wear his uniform.

After the boy finished wearing his uniform, he retrieved his bag from a chair next to his bed.

♪They made me scream,

As he made his way towards the door of the room, the boy froze and face palmed.

"I almost forgot."

The boy then walked back towards the bed and picked a dairy with a dark blue cover.

"Sorry for almost forgetting you buddy."

The boy rubbed his hand across the cover of the diary. He then put the diary inside his bag and made his way towards the door.

♪OH MY LIFE THAT IS ALWAYS GRIMM! ♪

The boy opened the door and walked through it. A hallway greeted the boy when he stepped out of the room. At the end of the hallway was a staircase leading to the lower floor.

♪Let me breathe,

Let me brave,

Let me fight,

Let me flight♪

The boy danced across the hallway with as he hummed. He then reached the staircase and started to descend to the lower floor.

"Oh, just on time Lucas, I was about to call you down for breakfast."

A woman in her early 40's voiced out. She possessed black hairs, a pair of black eyes and a pale skin. She was wearing a blue blouse and a similar colored long skirt. She also wore an apron as she prepared breakfast in the kitchen.

Lucas grumbled.

"Mom, they were not supposed to know my name just yet."

Lucas' mom tilted her head.

"What do you mean?"

"Never mind."

Lucas took a seat at the chair situated in the kitchen and put his bag on the table.

Lucas's mom shrugged. As she started to serve Lucas his breakfast, she sang:

♪He is my world,

He is my soul,

He is all I have left♪

As she served breakfast to Lucas, her eyes were locked on her son's with a smile on her face.

Luca's mom sat on a chair in front of Lucas and watched her son eat his breakfast.

Lucas finished his breakfast and patted his stomach.

"Thanks mom."

Lucas' mom chuckled and enveloped Lucas in a motherly hug.

"Anything for my little bear."

Lucas blushed in embarrassment.

"Mom! I am seventeen now."

Lucas' mom released Lucas from the hug and raffled his hair.

"It doesn't matter to me if you are seventeen or thirty, you will always be my little bear."

Lucas sighed in dejection.

"Fine, I should get going."

Lucas picked up his bag from the table and secured it on his back, he then waved at his mother as made his way towards the door.

As he reached the door he took a deep breath and opened it.

Lucas smiled as morning sunlight greeted his skin.

"It would have been a beautiful day if only it was not Monday."

He then walked through the door.

♪You may know my name,

Lucas started to dance as walked along the road, not caring of the attention he was attracting.

He skipped as words flowed out of his mouth.

He then balled his hands into fists.

Lucas took a deep breath.

He adapted a slow dance movement.

♪SO THE ANSWER I KNOW NOT! ♪

"Hey, Lucas."

A burly boy around the same age as Lucas and wearing a similar uniform to him waved at Lucas. He possessed blonde hairs and a pair of blue eyes that were currently fixed on Lucas. The boy was accompanied by four other boys with similar physique. The boys were wearing the same school uniform as Lucas and Steve.

Lucas tensed.

"Hi, Steve"

An eerie smile formed on Steve's face.

"Would you mind if you accompanied us to a nearby alley Lucas?"

With a weak voice, Lucas replied."No, I would not mind at all."
