Chapter 168 - A moment of Warmth.

Noah's POV

"Lyra, you should eat a bit more," I said to her.

"Noah, I'm full now," she said, shaking her head.

"You haven't eaten anything in three days," Scarlett pointed out, her voice tinged with concern.

"When you've gone too long without food, it's hard to eat much," Layla explained to us.

"Fine, but you'd better eat extra at dinner," I warned her, staring directly into her eyes.

"Fine," she replied.

It's been two hours since Lyra woke up. We didn't ask her anything knowing it might have difficult for her, but she told us everything happened to her.

The locket, her mother—she is alive.

While telling this, she didn't shed a single tear, but I knew, she is just acting tough.

So system was right— Her mother is still alive.

Now question is, "How do we find her inside this huge ice?"

Even if we find her, "How do we deal with the temperature difference that her body will feel after that?"

Lyra is not saying anything but her face says it all.

She is determined to find her, at all cost.

Scarlett and Layla have gone out of the room for now.

Taking this chance, I sat on the edge of the bed, and lifted her, making her sit on my lap.

Lyra was surprised at first but didn't rejected, instead she rested her head on my chest, and smiled happily.

I ran my fingers through her long black hair. They were dry due to being in extreme cold for three days, but pleasant to me.

"You don't act cold anymore towards me," I asked her in a teasing tone.

"There's no need," she replied, looking at me as she added, "You have melted my heart, Noah."

She curled her hands around my neck, then in a swift motion our lips met for a brief second but it felt like an eternity.

There was no movement, just a simple kiss, yet it felt special to me.

We parted our lips but she still didn't let go of her hands. They were still around my neck. I can feel her warmth lingering on my lips.

We didn't say anything after that, there wasn't any need for it.

I just sat there with Lyra on my lap, as she melted in my embrace.

If someone had told me before that she would fall for me I would have laughed at him, but now looking at her, I am feeling a sense of accomplishment.

Like a feeling, when you get something, you don't deserve or expect.

The duo were lost in their lovely moment, completely unaware of two people, who were currently watching them from outside the door.

Actually, the door was never closed— they forgot to do it in their moment.

Outside the door.

Layla and Scarlett were currently watching the scene unfolding infront of them. They have watched everything from when Noah lifted her up to Lyra kissing Noah.

It was Layla's idea to hide and watch but now she was regretting her choice.

"Damn, this Ice Witch is enjoying her moments," Layla said, clearly feeling jealous.

"She has completely fallen for him," Scarlett said, looking at the duo cuddling each other.

Then both of them decided to stop before its too late.

"Argh!, I can't take it anymore," Layla said, went inside.

"Wait, Layla," Scarlett tried to stop her but it was too late.

"NOAH!" Layla shouted as she entered the room.

"Wha-..,"

"Layla, ah-"

Both of them were surprised to see Layla, suddenly inside the room.

They have been caught by her.

Lyra's face flushed, she immediately jumped from my lap and sat far away from me.

Layla was currently glaring at me.

I gulped, then I look for Lyra—she turn away as if she doesn't know me at all.

"Lyra, you traitor," I sighed inwardly.

I found Scarlett, standing behind Layla, looking at me with a pity.

Now I have to deal with her alone.

"Umm, Layla, you see Lyra was feeling down, so I was just helping her," I said to her, but as continues to glare at me.

Layla came closer, with every step, I felt like my life was over.

Now she was just before me, looking into my eyes, asked in an extremely sweet voice, "Noah, are my hair good?"

"Huh?" I was dumbstruck at her question.

I thought she was going to yell at me.

"Are you ignoring me now?" Layla asked as i didn't answer her.

"Yes, Your hair are long, smooth and silky," I said, running my finger on them, then I added, "They are great."

She smiled, satisfied with my answer then she sat down on my lap as if it was her own.

"Hmm, that's more like it, chu~" she said, before giving a peck on my lips.

"Scarlett, come here," I said with my arms open as she seems a little sad.

Scarlett came and sat beside me, resting her head on my shoulder.

I patted their head, they happily accepted, closing their eyes as they enjoyed the sensation.

Then I felt a familiar weight on my shoulder, I instantly knew it was Lyra.

"This girl, she left me before now came back," i thought as I looked at her, "looks like I need to teach her a lesson."

I put my one hand around her waist, her body shudder, but she didn't reject.

I smiled devilishly, then pinched at her waist, causing her to yelp.

"Angh"

"Pftt-" I stopped myself from laughing as Lyra was glaring at me.

"Huh?" Scarlett and Layla both of them opened their eyes due to the sound.

Both of them looked at me first, then at Lyra with a grin, causing her face turn red.

Lyra was too embarrassed now, first after getting caught, now this. It was too much for.

She wanted to ran away from these people.

Before Lyra could run, I pulled her down back to her place, my hand was around her shoulder keeping her in place.

Now the peace was back.

No one teased her anymore. We all sat together for a while feeling each other warmth.

But I think we should not forget as why we all came here in the first place.

So I asked Lyra, "Did you learn, how to use a domain now?"

Now all eyes were on Lyra, who just smiled at me.
