"Are you okay?" Nikolas asked as soon as Selene ended the call.
He lifted his head as his gaze locked on her face. He could see the worry flickering in her eyes.
"I'm fine. It's just that ever since the day I was stalked, I have been really paranoid," she said casually, trying to slip her phone back into her bag without making a big such a big deal of it.
Nikolas's brow furrowed,pulling them tightly closer together "You were stalked?"
"Eh….Yes," Selene answered quickly. "I had already planned on telling you the day that I came over, but… you had a whole lot serious stuff going on. And i didn't really want to add to it." She said softly. Her low,sweet voice dropped, soft and hesitant.
Nikolas shifted closer. "Selene," he said, his voice low but firm, "how could you not tell me about something like that?"
"I'm okay," she shrugged,shifting in her seat. "I managed to outrun him." There was a faint smile in her eyes as the memory flashed back.
