Selene pushed open the door to her office with a thin smile stretched across her lips. Dumping her bag on the desk and she sank into her executive chair,with a deep sigh as she raised her hands up raking her fingers through her strands.
She had forgotten to tie it up into her usual ponytail after loosening it down back at the house. Everything that had happened that morning had left her too shaken to even remember the little things.
Thankfully, she had remembered to call Nikolas and let him know she would arrive late to work today.
A faint chuckle escaped her lips as she remembered how, just minutes ago, one of her male colleague had stopped her,only to point out a stray leaf caught in her hair, courtesy of the trees shedding in front of her building.
Exhaling deeply, she ran her fingers through her hair again, just to be sure nothing else was tangled in her strands. The last thing she needed right now was to walk around building looking like she had just come from forest duty.
