In the blink of an eye, the world as we knew it vanished.
It began with people transforming into zombies, which spiraled down into chaos as individuals started fighting one another; they exploited themselves; as brothers betrayed their siblings, wives killed their husbands, men butchered themselves, women offered theirs, and friends became enemies, as gangs became warlords. Soon, cannibalism became the norm as the government went silent and collapsed over time.
But that was only the beginning, merely the start of the end. The zombies grew and multiplied, spreading like a plague and engulfing everything. Cities and towns crumbled as rural areas became flooded with people fleeing to safety. Everything began to change—some argued it was for the good of nature, while others believed it signaled the downfall of mankind. People were no longer the same, and our reality and society became fragmented. Despite all the advancements in science and technology, nothing could stop what was happening.
After the catastrophe, it all became hell. Animals, plants, insects, and even the earth became infected as everything grew larger and larger and became deadlier and more toxic. But then, in this post-apocalyptic world, a strategic-based system granted by the organizers via a roulette selection was given to 10,000,000 individuals across eight continents, of which no one knew.
This allowed users to establish fortresses and cities, enhancing their abilities and fortifications while synthesizing weapons through advanced crafting tools and armaments.
Users were able to create kingdoms & fortresses as they became city rulers/commanders and established dominions by devouring the existing infrastructure of the world that more or else became redundant and empty over time with people running away and leaving. It gave the authority to devour materials by breaking down buildings into sub-particles for immediate use (e.g., metals, wood, cement).
Despite this occurrence, individuals were able to develop the skills of their subordinates by having them bury zombie corpses in crypts designed by systems to award points and sol, which was both a logical and necessary action to prevent further contamination.
However, unbeknownst to most users who could advance, commanders could consume the systems of other users to level up and also merge their fortresses with those of other system users, effectively enhancing the fortresses by half of their existence.
This led to the siphoning as everything became deadlier and more dangerous...
