Clutching her locket, hand close to her beating heart, Arabella walked thoughtlessly along the hallways, merely following in Katherine's steps, believing she'd lead her back to her room where Silas had asked her to stay.
"Here we are. She awaits you,"
Katherine's voice had snapped Arabella out of her trance, just in time for her to realize they stood not in front of her room but facing an unfamiliar door, at the center of just as an unfamiliar hallway instead.
The young woman looked at Katherine with expecting eyes, waiting for an explanation that never came.
In response, the vampire tapped the door gently then stood still until the permission to enter reached them from within.
"Come in," a recognizable voice rose, muffled.
Both women made their way inside then halted after shutting the door behind themselves.
"I've brought Arabella with me just like you've asked, my Lady," said Katherine, bowing slightly.
