Easton Holmes didn't immediately answer Lily Turner's question. Instead, he just stared at her standing in the living room doorway without blinking. Just when she thought he wouldn't talk to her, he suddenly spoke: "Why are you standing so far away? Do you think I'm going to eat you?"
He looked at her half-jokingly, half-seriously, with a faint, teasing smile on his cold, chiseled face.
Yes! I am afraid you'll eat me!
Lily Turner only dared to say this secretly in her heart, not daring to say it out loud. She still wanted to leave here safely and smoothly.
"What do you want from me? If it's nothing important, I'm going back." After saying that, she made a move to turn around and leave.
"Didn't you promise to treat me to a meal?" Easton Holmes shouted abruptly, stopping Lily Turner just as she was about to head to the door. Seeing her pause, he continued, "That day in the hospital, you said you'd treat me once you recovered. Surely you weren't just saying that casually?"
