Bai Yu's New Crew Member: Princess Vivi
Boom!
Conqueror's Haki swept past Vivi, rendering Ikalem unconscious without harming him.
Eyes wide, Vivi knelt beside Ikalem to check his pulse—
"He's not dead." Bai Yu's voice cut through her panic.
"Now come with me."
Vivi bit her lip, tears threatening to fall—
But she forced them back.
She was the princess of Alabasta—
Her people needed her—
And if following Bai Yu meant saving her kingdom, she would do it.
"Can't you be a little gentler with girls?" Nami called out from the distance, crossing her arms with a pout.
"You better watch your mouth—or I'll poke you in the middle of the night!" Bai Yu shot back with a smirk.
Nami's face turned bright red.
"W-What kind of poke are you talking about?!"
Ignoring her reaction, Bai Yu opened a teleportation field with a flick of his hand.
Vivi gasped as the air shimmered around them—
And in an instant, they reappeared aboard Bai Yu's ship, suspended on the floating Island Cloud.
"W-Where am I?" Vivi whispered, gazing around at the clouds that surrounded the ship like a sea in the sky.
Bai Yu studied her for a moment, then gestured to her height.
Reaching into his Najie storage ring, he pulled out a white dress and handed it to her.
"Second room on the left," he said. "Wash up, take off that ugly makeup, and change into this."
Vivi stared at the dress in confusion.
"W-Where did you get this? Why do you have women's clothes?!"
Bai Yu blinked innocently.
"For moments like this."
Vivi's face turned red again, but she quickly gathered her courage.
"If you can save my kingdom… then I'll do whatever you want." Her voice trembled slightly but held steady. "Tell me the terms."
Bai Yu tilted his head, his smile softening.
"There are no terms."
Vivi blinked.
"As long as you join my crew, you're family. And I'll help my family without asking for anything in return."
Without hesitation, Vivi took a deep breath and nodded.
"Then I'll join!"
"Good. Now go take that shower."
"I—!" Vivi blushed furiously, misunderstanding his words.
"What are you thinking?!" Bai Yu groaned, running a hand down his face. "Your makeup's ugly, and your clothes look terrible. I'm doing you a favor."
"Y-You…!" Vivi huffed in frustration, stomping toward the room with her fists clenched at her sides.
While she showered, Bai Yu leaned against the railing of the ship, gazing at the horizon.
"System—start the lottery."
Ding!
"Congratulations, Host! You've unlocked: Immortal Prison!"
Bai Yu frowned.
"A… prison?"
He quickly checked the description:
Immortal Prison
• Exists in a void-like alternate dimension.
• Host can transport "powerless" individuals inside.
• Prisoners cannot die and will automatically resurrect after death.
• No need to eat, drink, or sleep.
• Fully customizable prison style and punishments.
Bai Yu raised an eyebrow.
"…I can't even bring Kaya or the others inside? They have to be powerless to enter?"
He scratched his chin thoughtfully.
"…This could still be useful. Defeat someone, throw them inside, break their will… and they can't die, no matter what happens to them."
His eyes gleamed as an idea struck him.
"Old Sha… looks like you're going to be my first guest."
A sinister smile crossed his face as he considered the possibilities.
After an hour, the sound of footsteps approached.
Bai Yu looked up as Vivi stepped onto the deck.
Her waist-length blue hair shimmered in the sunlight, and the white dress hugged her figure perfectly.
Without the heavy makeup, her natural beauty shone through—delicate features, soft blue eyes, and a graceful air that spoke of royal upbringing.
Even Bai Yu had to pause for a moment.
"…Wow."
Vivi's cheeks flushed pink at his gaze.
"W-What are you looking at?" she mumbled, shifting awkwardly.
Bai Yu smirked.
"At someone who doesn't look ugly anymore."
"You…!" Vivi stomped her foot, but her smile betrayed her.
Bai Yu gestured for her to come over.
"Since you're family now, tell me everything about your kingdom's situation. I need to know how to help."
Vivi hesitated at first, then took a seat beside him, accepting a glass of juice he offered.
"If you can defeat the Baroque Works… that's enough."
Bai Yu waited, but Vivi said nothing more.
"…That's it?" he asked, raising an eyebrow.
"What else do you need?" Vivi asked, tilting her head.
Bai Yu sighed, rubbing his temples.
"Vivi—you're smart, brave, and beautiful, but…"
"But what?!" Vivi demanded, pouting.
"…You're too naive."
"W-What?!" Vivi gasped, leaning forward in shock.
"You think beating Baroque Works will magically fix everything? What about the power vacuum that'll follow? The corrupt nobles waiting to seize control? The spies who'll try to destabilize the kingdom? The pirates who'll see Alabasta as easy prey?"
Vivi's eyes widened.
"Ruling a kingdom isn't just about defeating one enemy. You need long-term protection, loyal allies, and people who fear you enough to think twice before causing trouble."
"B-But…"
"And that's where I come in." Bai Yu smirked.
"You joined my crew. So now, Alabasta is under my protection. No one will dare touch your kingdom again—not pirates, not revolutionaries, not the World Government."
Vivi's breath caught in her throat.
"You… you'd really do that? For me?"
Bai Yu placed a hand on her shoulder.
"You're family now. And I always take care of my family."
Tears welled up in Vivi's eyes, but she quickly wiped them away and sat up straighter.
"Then… please help me save my people. I'll do anything you ask in return!"
Bai Yu chuckled.
"Don't worry—I don't ask for much. Just be yourself, train hard, and stay by my side."
Vivi blushed, lowering her gaze.
"Captain! We've finished loading supplies!" Nami called from across the deck.
"Good. Prepare to set sail!" Bai Yu replied.
He glanced at Vivi one more time, his smile softening.
"Welcome to the crew, Vivi."
Vivi smiled through her tears, nodding firmly.
"Thank you… Captain."
