Jenny and Sarah were getting tired of waiting for Lucien. Their plan was to make sure Ace never saw their friend again, after all the hurt he had caused her. But Ace had come back, marching past them despite their hateful and threatening words. He had ignored them, and now it seemed like he and Lucien were reconciling.
"Those couples are reconciling," Ken said in a funny way, chuckling to himself.
Jenny and Sarah laughed, but their amusement was short-lived. Ace and Lucien were still upstairs, and it seemed like they were going to be up there for a while.
Meanwhile, Fiona stumbled into her hotel room, looking disheveled and confused. She couldn't remember anything about the previous night, but she vaguely recalled being with Ace and drinking. She never trusted herself when she was drunk, and now she was paying the price.
Fiona hurriedly searched for the recording device, her hands shaking as she played back the conversation. A sly smile spread across her face as she listened.
But her smile quickly turned to panic as she searched for the private drive. It was nowhere to be found. Her father would kill her if he found out she had lost it.
Fiona's mind was racing with panic as she frantically searched for the private drive. She was known for being meticulous and careful with sensitive information, which is why her father had entrusted her with the drive in the first place. It contained secrets that could ruin her father's reputation and put their entire family at risk. The thought of losing it was unbearable, and Fiona couldn't shake off the feeling that she had let her father down.
She thought back to the previous night, trying to recall every detail. She had been with Ace, and they had been drinking. She remembered laughing and joking with him, but after that, her memories were hazy. She didn't remember receiving the drive from her father, but she must have. And now, it was gone.
Fiona's anxiety level skyrocketed as she thought about facing her father. He would be furious, and she didn't blame him. She had let him down, and she had put their family's secrets at risk.
Just as she was about to give up hope, Fiona's phone rang. It was her father. She hesitated for a moment before answering, her heart racing with anticipation.
"Fiona, where is the drive?" her father's voice was firm and commanding, with a hint of worry.
Fiona took a deep breath before answering. "I...I don't know, Father. I had it last night, but now it's gone."
There was a pause on the other end of the line, and Fiona could almost hear her father's anger and disappointment.
"What do you mean you don't know?" he asked, his voice rising. "You're the one I trusted to keep it safe."
Fiona felt a surge of guilt and regret. "I'm sorry, Father. I know I let you down. I'll do everything I can to find it."
Her father's voice was cold and detached. "See that you do, Fiona. Find that drive and bring it back to me. Now."
The hotel receptionist's voice interrupted Fiona's worried thoughts. "Miss, this is the hotel reception. Your stay with us has expired. Please settle your bill and check out."
Fiona sighed, realizing she had lost track of time. She quickly got dressed and made her way to the reception to settle her bill.
As she walked out of the hotel, Fiona couldn't shake off the feeling of unease. She had lost the private drive, and her father was furious. She hailed a taxi and headed home, her mind racing with thoughts of how she was going to face her father and find the missing drive.
Fiona walked into her house, hoping to escape the chaos that had been following her. But as soon as she stepped inside, her father, Wilson Thunder, confronted her.
"Who were you with?" he thundered, his voice echoing through the hallway.
Fiona remained quiet, unsure of how to respond.
Wilson's face turned red with anger. "I asked you a question, Fiona! Who were you with?"
Fiona's voice trembled as she replied, "A-Ace..."
Wilson's expression changed from anger to shock. "Ace? As in, the Ace who's been all over the news with you?"
Fiona nodded, feeling a sense of dread wash over her.
Wilson's face darkened. "I saw the news, Fiona. At first, I was happy for you. But now...now I realize that you must have been with him when you lost the drive."
Fiona's eyes widened as she realized the implications. "Oh no, Father...I didn't think..."
Wilson's voice was cold and menacing. "Ace might have the drive, Fiona. And if he does, my reputation will be ruined. Everything I've worked for will be destroyed."
Fiona felt a chill run down her spine as she realized the gravity of the situation. She had to find Ace and get the drive back, no matter what it took.
