Yan Xi's heart pounded. The figure standing before him looked like Ling Yue, but the ominous glow in her eyes… She was no longer the same.
"Ling Yue!" Yan Xi called out, but there was no response.
A chilling silence hung in the air. The chained spirits around them remained kneeling, as if worshipping a deity.
Bai Xuan frowned. "This… This isn't her power. Something else inside her is awakening."
At that moment, the crimson light around Ling Yue flared. An invisible pressure filled the atmosphere.
Yan Xi's instincts screamed at him. He knew something was terribly wrong.
"Ling Yue, snap out of it!"
But it wasn't her who answered.
Suddenly, Ling Yue's lips curled into a smile, and a cold voice echoed:
"I… have returned."
The crimson aura surrounding her exploded.
Yan Xi and the others were forced to step back. He stared at Ling Yue without blinking. That was not her voice.
Ren Yue whispered, "This is her curse… The Curse of the Blood Moon."
Mo Ye narrowed his eyes. "So what do we do now?"
Just then, Ling Yue raised her fingers, and a blood-red crescent blade formed out of thin air.
"There is no escape," she said. "No one can stop me."
And at that moment, hell was unleashed.
