Flain then told Ghosty a shortened version of his story, explaining that he was immortal but leaving out the part about his past life since he disliked talking about it. He also omitted the system and gave the same excuse about soul absorbing that he had told Itai, lying about it just in case Ghosty ever managed to escape. He also told him about Athrylith because he believed that if Athrylith didn't want him to speak about it, he wouldn't be able to say it at all.
"S-So you're immortal, and every time you die, you r-reincarnate back to the moment your necromancer s-summoned you? And on top of that, some god named A-Athrylith is watching us?" Ghosty stammered.
"And on top of that, I'll probably stay bound to you even when you die, because Athrylith said that true immortality means the soul cannot leave its body, and since my soul is bound to yours, that means I'm stuck with you forever," Ghosty muttered, staring at the ground.
