Chapter 30 - MHA : Chapter 30 : Fight For Survival I

"I gotta say, scarf-man! Never took you as a field trip kinda guy." Peter joked from his place beside the ragged-looking man.

"It is not a field trip, Parker, it is rescue training. Also, stop calling me that during school hours of you'll land yourself in detention." It hurt Peter that Aizawa didn't even look his way during the dry reply, he thought they had something!

"So you're okay with it out of school?"

"2 days of detention after school, problem child."

"What, am I not good enough for 3?"

"You just made it 4."

Eh, whatever. With Rumi's habit of landing herself in detention, he'd have a friend to keep him company.

"I enjoy our talks."

"I cannot say the same."

"Yeah, you can! I just gotta get through that cynical exterior of yours and reach the teddy bear underneath." Peter chuckled, amused at the 'I want to hit you with a chair but i'll lose my job if I do' kinda look that his teacher gave him behind the hair that covered his eyes.

That's how it's been going for the past, what? 2 minutes? Peter had lost count in all honesty. He and Aizawa stood in front of the bus that would take them, along with the rest of 1-A, to their very first session of rescue training. Peter, seeing the chance at annoying Aizawa 1-1, had changed into costume and made it to the bus long before he had to.

And wow, was it worth it!

Sadly, after the quick back and forth that had just gone down, the two had gone into silence.

Surprisingly, Aizawa was the one to start up a new conversation. "You had a spare suit? Doesn't look half bad, although I expected you to just grab a gym uniform as a placeholder." The man asked, looking the masked teen up and down.

Instead of the red and blue bodysuit the boy had worn during the battle trial two days ago, he was now wearing a stealthy black and white suit, white accents all across his body. The most noticeable detail being how the webbing design was now gone and how the small spider symbol was now white and spanned most of his chest while connecting to an identical symbol on his back through his sides.

His jacket had gone from the red, blue, and white to a pure black and white one that portrayed a different design from the suit he wore, much like his previous one.

"Yeah, had a hard-working friend in the support course that helped me design this. Made for stealth and all, you know? Even if only the design changes, a change of pace is nice every now and then."

Peter was glad with how this suit had come out, He and Midoriya really outdid themselves. Wait, he should give it and the jacket a name like Stark and Advanced!

Hmm, but what? He'll do the suit first.

Brock? That made no sense.

Big time? Kinda stupid, maybe if it were black and green, though.

Ah, he got it! He'd call it the Venom suit! Woah, that sounded so cool!

And now, the jacket! That might be a bit harder.

What about Anti-Venom? That was too easy.

He didn't know why the named Richards and Storm crossed his mind, those wouldn't make sense.

Wait, what if he called it Noir? Cause of the whole black and white thing? Yeah, that sounded great!

Aizawa quirked an eyebrow at him. "Stealth? I didn't know you'd be a stealth hero, it is usually reserved for underground heroes."

He only closed his eyes and waved a dismissive hand. "Eh, I don't get why everyone has to classify within a hero type, you know? I just wanna be a hero and do whatever I can to help wherever and however I can. Combat, rescue, underground work, I'll do it all if it helps someone."

Peter watched as his teacher only nodded and hummed in thought. "A jack of all trades, then? Quite an interesting choice, since most heroes choose to specialize in a certain category. But I suppose your quirk and abilities are well suited for many areas."

While Peter's heart was slightly warmed at knowing Aizawa thought he had a wide skill set, that didn't mean he wasn't gonna annoy him.

"Are you mad that I won't become a full-time member of your little underground club, scarf man? I'm touched." Peter joked, placing a hand over his chest in a mocking manner. That was as far as the conversation went before the rest of his class finally started to show up and get ready to board the bus.

After Aizawa walked away to gather up the students, Peter let his shoulders fall a tiny bit and breathed a sigh.

He'd never tell the man that Peter's new stealth costume was inspired by him. He'd also never about how he was hoping that Aizawa liked it, or about how it made him incredibly happy when he said it looked good.

He'd take that information to the damned grave.

...

Peter had a bad feeling about this, he didn't even have it in him to make a Star Wars joke.

His Spider-Sense has not stopped ringing from the second, the literal second he got into the bus. The ringing has slowly been growing louder and louder the closer they've gone to the rescue training thingy.

"Kero, Parker-Chan." A voice came from beside him, he might as well distract himself from the constant discomfort in his head.

"Huh?" Peter opened his half-lidded eyes to see the person next to him was class 1-A's resident frog girl, Tsuyu Asui. "What's up, Tsu?"

The girl had been incredibly adamant about everyone calling her by her first name, and adressing nearly everyone by 'Chan'.

Which was so not fair cause when Peter accidentally messed up honorifics he almost got punched, which was the main reason he didn't use honorifics at all.

"I always speak what's on my mind," She started, her vacant look solely on him as she brought a finger to her chin. "So, I wanted to say that your quirk seems really weird."

"… Alright? It's just 'Spider', it's not that weird."

"That's the thing. My quirk is called 'Frog', so it gives me frog-like qualities, kero. Yet you don't seem to display any spider-like traits like a bunch of eyes or the ability to make webs, what's up with that?"

Alright, how was he gonna play this? He could either tell her about getting bit by a genetically altered/radioactive spider, or that his quirk was just weird like that.

Maybe he should figure out if he was radioactive sooner or later.

"Uh, it basically lets me stick to walls like a spider and gives me a spider's proportional strength and speed, you know? I was a bit of a late bloomer, so I only got it a little over a year ago, which I guess is why I don't have any crazy mutations." He explained, hoping that his explanation would satisfy her, and by going off of how she gave a croak and a nod, it did.

Although Peter couldn't help but notice how Bakugo perked up in his seat at the mention of him not having a quirk until recently, he didn't have it in him to care.

He took deep breaths to try and relieve the discomfort in the back of his head, the ringing soon upgrading into light blaring.

Oh, he really didn't have a good feeling about this.

...

God, his head hurt so much. He'd been gritting his teeth and clenching his fist for the last 2 minutes straight, not bothering to even try and listen to whatever Uraraka was saying about the Space Hero: Thirteen.

They've been standing at the entrance to UA's very own USJ facility, which was primarily designed to help students learn to act in disaster situations in a controlled environment.

Peter would be nerding out about it if it wasn't for the fact his head felt like it was splitting open.

He could only hear bits and pieces that his teachers were saying, something about how they would all be divided into random zones and how Thirteen's quirk was dangerous or something.

Curiously enough, Peter was able to pick up on Aizawa stating that All Might would not be joining them today like how he was supposed to. Peter was slightly glad for that, he didn't know if he could look at that man the same way after hearing what he did to Midoriya.

The blaring was growing louder and louder by the second, deafening the world around him. Why was it so intense? They were at a rescue training exercise! Nothing that was supposed to happen would actually put him in danger!

Wait.

Nothing that was supposed to happen?

His spider-sense had been warning him of something going wrong, wasn't it?

Peter felt himself start to slowly freak out, he needed to get to Aizawa.

As Thirteen started to separate the class into different groups that would rotate between each zone, Peter stepped forward and tapped Aizawa on the shoulder. The man turned around and raised a tired eyebrow at the teen.

"Problem child? You don't look so good, si something wrong?"

"Aizawa! Something's coming. I-I-I don't know what o-or how, but you need to get everyone out, now." He warned, trying to get out words through the blaring in his head.

The man simply adopted a confused expression at the boy's frantic look

"What? What are you ta-" The hero was cut off by the sound of swirling mist filling the facility. Both he and Peter turned around to see a purple vortex of smoke had appeared out of thin air, a mass of men and women stepping out.

His spider-sense started to die down when the immediate threat was revealed, the lenses on his black mask widened in realization.

Villains.
