While they'd retrieved a majority of the iron coins they'd planted in the battlefield, some were still there. It wasn't that Ren didn't know where they were. He knew the location of every teleportation beacon he had. He'd just left them there for sentimental purposes.
At this point in time, he had more than a thousand coins serving as teleportation beacons. He'd also branched out, imbuing normal Albion coinage. As he traveled the world, he had plans to imbue as many beacons as possible and leave them behind in key places. This way, he'd be able to teleport to anywhere he'd been to before.
Although, if the distance was too far, he'd have to take the trips in several days with a few shorter teleportations.
