Inside the Phoenix Club, David and Lucy had successfully made their way up the stairwell and were approaching the office on the third floor. Along the way, Lucy demonstrated her expert hacking skills by shutting down all the surveillance cameras in the area.
When they emerged from the stairwell, a member of the Tiger Claw gang was stationed at the door leading to the third floor. Without hesitation, Lucy hacked into his neural prosthetics, causing a temporary paralysis in his system. David took advantage of the distraction, swiftly approaching from behind and delivering a precise blow to knock the man unconscious. Then, he dragged the body into the shadows of the corridor.
The efficiency of their movements was seamless.
Lucy paused to observe David with a hint of curiosity. "David, have you done this kind of work before?" she whispered.
"What kind of work?" he replied with feigned innocence.
"Breaking in, knocking people out... you seem awfully skilled at it."
David smirked. "First time."
"Then how are you so good at this?"
"Guess it's just talent," he replied nonchalantly.
Lucy gave him a skeptical look but let it slide. "I really can't figure you out…" she muttered, more to herself than to him.
David shrugged, knowing he couldn't exactly explain that his moves were inspired by countless action movies he had seen back in his past life. With the aid of his magnetic fruit powers, knocking people out had become almost second nature.
Lucy, deciding it wasn't worth probing further, motioned for him to follow. "Let's focus on the mission. We've got work to do."
David silently agreed and followed her lead. They moved quickly but carefully, approaching the entrance to Jotaro Shoho's office.
At the same time, outside the Phoenix Club, a scavenger group was monitoring the building through binoculars.
"Boss, look! Someone's already made their move," one of them exclaimed.
"What? Who the hell is brave enough to infiltrate the Phoenix Club?"
The leader of the scavengers, Oris, snatched the binoculars and peered at the third floor. His expression hardened as he recognized one of the figures. "No way… that kid… isn't that the guy from the Afterlife Bar last night?"
"Who?"
"The one working for Rogue. Damn it! Why does this punk keep getting involved in our business?"
Similar conversations were happening among other mercenary groups stationed near the club.
"Boss, isn't that David? The guy who helped out at the Afterlife Bar?"
"Yeah, I recognize him. Do you think Rogue sent him here?"
"Let's not jump to conclusions. Keep watching and wait for an opening."
"Understood."
Meanwhile, inside Jotaro's office, Lucy and David worked quickly. Lucy inserted the stolen chip into the lock on the door and began cracking the code.
This type of security system wasn't something David could override with his magnetic powers without triggering the alarm. It required the precision and expertise of a top-tier hacker, which Lucy provided.
After a few tense moments, the door's lock gave a faint click, and the two slipped inside, closing the door behind them.
The office was large and luxurious, divided into separate areas for work, leisure, and refreshments. David scanned the room instinctively for threats, while Lucy headed straight to the main computer.
"Keep watch. I'll handle the data," she instructed, already connecting her neural interface to the system.
David nodded, keeping an ear out for any movement in the corridor.
Lucy's hacking skills were unparalleled, and it didn't take her long to break through the system's defenses. As she navigated the computer, the contents of the files began to load, revealing disturbing records and communications.
The files detailed Jotaro Shoho's involvement in the bd Club's heinous activities:

Forcing individuals into horrifying and degrading acts.
Using homeless people as live extras in grotesque scenarios, including amputations and torture.
The records included coded messages exchanged between Jotaro and his associates:

David's jaw clenched as he read the sickening details over Lucy's shoulder. His fists tightened, and his magnetic powers buzzed faintly in response to his rising anger.
"Scum," he muttered under his breath.
Lucy's face was pale as she scrolled through the files. Even with her hardened outlook on life in Night City, the sheer depravity of the bd Club's activities left her visibly shaken.
"They're monsters," she said quietly.
David didn't respond, but his expression said enough. He was already mentally calculating how to take down Jotaro and everyone involved.
Lucy finished copying the files onto her neural drive and disconnected from the system. "I've got everything we need," she said. "Let's get out of here before someone notices we're gone."
David nodded, but his mind was already racing with thoughts of justice.
