Brian lunged ahead and slid his hand in between the knife and Victoria's chest; he groaned in pain as the knife drove into his palm and blood oozed out of it. Victoria's hold immediately loosened as she realized what she had just done.
"Arggg…" Brian groaned as he struggled to take out the knife. Victoria's eyes grew wide, but before she could approach him, Brian had already taken it out and thrown it across the room.
"Have you lost your mind?!" He groaned at her as he used his other hand to press tightly on his wound. Victoria, on the other hand, sniffled and freaked out seeing all the blood; without paying heed to his words, she tore a piece from her skirt and wrapped it around his wound.
"I'm sorry, Brian; I didn't mean to, " she uttered while dialing the ambulance. Brian closed the distance when she kept her back facing him, feeling ashamed and guilty.
