Arin, Ragna, and 8 guards were on horseback; Ashley was in a cage carried by a cart drawn by 2 horses and driven by a civilian cart driver.
They had started from Siterion yesterday morning.
There was a reason behind Arin agreeing to Duran's proposal, and it was not something trivial like appeasing the Guard Captain.
When Arin had instructed the Wraiths to kill Zikar, he had ordered them to steal the Trinket[1] in his possession as well.
However, it was a problem in the current situation to smuggle the trinket out of the city amidst all the checking.
But, being part of an Official Assignment ordered by the Guard Captain himself, they would bypass border patrol and inspections at every checkpoint in the Empire.
