"WHAAAAT!"
This time, both Arin and Ragna were surprised.
They couldn't understand how someone could suspect such a lawful, upright person.
"How?" they both asked simultaneously.
"You two didn't react this way when talking about Unseen or Ashley!" Linda remarked, her voice carrying both suspicion and surprise.
"Well," Arin replied, "because the Guard Captain is the most upright man I have encountered to date, and he was a great friend of the Patrician and Guild Leader."
"Anyway," Linda continued, "the Guard Captain was the last person the Guild Leader was seen with! So there is a chance he could have killed the leader!"
"I don't buy it!" Arin spoke aloud.
"So do I!" Ragna remarked, echoing his sentiment.
"Well, thank you!"
A familiar voice came from a table behind them.
Arin and Ragna turned to discover a hooded figure, seated with his back to them, now rising from his chair.
It was none other than Guard Captain Duran.
