Ànna stood up, stared into her phone for a while, wondering whether it is wise to bring it along or not.
After deciding, she chucked it into her bag and met Carlos at the entrance of her office and offered a gentle smile.
"Since you'd be going for the conference meeting, I'd Meet the Manager myself. You do not want to be late for the meeting."
Carlos rolled his eyes.
"I'm the boss, I only come when I feel like it. But since you've asked, I'll take your word for it."
He turned to leave but froze for a moment. He seemed to think of something and he was suddenly hesitating to leave now.
Anna just watched him with her calm grey eyes, wondering why he stuck around.
"Is there a problem?"
He lingered a while and then shook his head.
"Why don't I do the honors of showing you around instead of my mañager, huh?"
Añña's expression was blank.
'This very same man said that he had a conference meeting to attend and he wants to show me around?'
