Chapter 393 - Chapter 393: The Yellow Emperor Sword

In the Blood God Legion, within the Blood God Camp, Leng Yaozhu brought Xia Yi into a forging room and said, "This is the forging room of the Blood God Camp. Now that you're a Captain in the logistics department and also a blacksmith, it's yours from now on."

"I heard that the lowest rank in the Blood God Camp is general-level. Doesn't the logistics department have any higher-ranking blacksmiths?" Xia Yi asked curiously. In the military, while strength is essential, true authority still depends on military merits and rank.

"The main blacksmiths of the Blood God Camp are at least Saint Craftsmen. The only Saint Craftsman in the entire Blood God Legion is being held onto tightly by the corps commander and won't be transferred to us, so this forging room has remained unused," Leng Yaozhu explained.

In truth, it wasn't just the Blood God Legion — the entire Sun-Moon Federation military was critically lacking in blacksmiths.

"By the way, I still don't know what level blacksmith you are," Leng Yaozhu said suddenly, smiling. Last time, when Xia Yi forged in Star Luo City, he triggered a heavenly tribulation — a phenomenon typically symbolic of divine-grade forging.

With Xia Yi's current cultivation, it was impossible for him to be a Divine Craftsman. The heavenly tribulation must have been caused by some other reason.Still, with his forging talent, his current level must be quite high.

"About level seven. Soul forging shouldn't be a problem," Xia Yi said honestly.

"Level seven—Saint Craftsman," Leng Yaozhu's eyelids twitched violently. Levels seven and eight were already considered Saint Craftsman tier. Aside from Divine Craftsman Zhen Hua, Saint Craftsman was already the highest title a blacksmith could hold.

"Not bad, huh?" Xia Yi said calmly.

"Don't get cocky." Leng Yaozhu grit her teeth. She had clearly seen Xia Yi's lips curl ever so slightly.

"Totally showing off while pretending not to care. Hmph! I'm not praising you, let's see what good your smugness does you." Leng Yaozhu thought with a secret sense of satisfaction.

"Since you're already a Saint Craftsman, then help me upgrade this sword." Leng Yaozhu pulled out a longsword with golden-red hues and tossed it in front of Xia Yi.

One side was golden, the other red.

On the golden side, a five-clawed golden dragon was etched, coiled around by sun, moon, and stars.

On the red side was a lifelike phoenix, with mountains, rivers, flowers, and trees beneath its wings.

The hilt was engraved with myriad living beings and the landscape of the nation.

"This is…" Xia Yi's eyes instantly showed surprise. He could sense that this sword had similarities to his Earth Cauldron.

The difference was that the Earth Cauldron was mainly based on the Hetu and Luoshu (cosmic diagrams) with supplementary influence from Gu Yue's "Creation and Transformation." This sword, however, was primarily inspired by the Yellow Emperor's Inner Canon, with Hetu and Luoshu as secondary elements.

"This was forged based on the Hetu and Luoshu, along with my insights into the Huangdi Neijing (Yellow Emperor's Inner Canon). I named it the Yellow Emperor Sword," Leng Yaozhu said, gently touching the sword. "But it's not complete yet. It still needs your understanding of the Hetu and Luoshu, and the Inner Canon to complement the yin and yang."

"No problem," Xia Yi nodded. Then he looked at Leng Yaozhu and said, "Didn't you say you want to create your own God Realm? I think this sword is perfect. We can infuse our understanding of a divine realm into it, and one day, it can serve as the core of the God Realm."

"The core of the God Realm? What does that mean?" Leng Yaozhu was stunned. She did want to create her own divine realm — that much was true. But as she had said before, she had no idea how to go about it.

She was not like Gu Yue. Gu Yue had descended from the Douluo God Realm and had even seen its core structure. Her understanding of how to build a divine realm was crystal clear.

Leng Yaozhu, however, had never been to a divine realm. Despite standing at the peak just beneath godhood, she still had no clear sense of what a divine realm should be like.

Creating a divine realm wasn't impossible — a minor one could be forged without too much difficulty. The real challenge lay in the number of divine seats the realm could produce and the maximum level of divine authority it could support.

A divine realm that could only produce third-level gods was basically not worth creating. While third-level gods with divine seats were usually stronger than those without, seatless gods had far greater potential for growth.

Once you accepted a divine inheritance, any future breakthroughs would depend on the divine realm leveling up — with the divine seats advancing alongside it.

But once a divine realm was formed, upgrading it was unimaginably difficult.

If Leng Yaozhu had to feel her way through alone, even if she succeeded, the resulting divine realm would be very low-level.

But with Xia Yi, everything changed.

After all, he had just helped forge the foundation for the Soul Beast God Realm. With that experience, Leng Yaozhu would avoid many pitfalls.

"These things can be explained to you slowly later. For now, let me help you upgrade the Yellow Emperor Sword," Xia Yi said, taking a deep breath and adjusting to peak condition. He raised his hands and formed a series of seals over the sword.

To fully enhance the Yellow Emperor Sword, he would need to channel his understanding of both the Hetu and Luoshu and the Yellow Emperor's Inner Canon into the weapon.

A deep dragon roar echoed from the Yellow Emperor Sword. As Xia Yi continued to strike seals, the five-clawed golden dragon etched into the blade came to life, roaring powerfully.

"Screech!" — the phoenix engraving was awakened by the dragon's roar.

Dragon and phoenix leaped from the blade, circling the forging room in midair.

"Zhu'er! Now! Take out the two Plane Seeds and use their power to enhance the sword!" Xia Yi shouted up to Leng Yaozhu.

"Already prepared." Leng Yaozhu smiled, and two drops of True Phoenix Fire appeared — each containing a sealed Plane Seed.

"Burn!" Leng Yaozhu commanded. The flames surged in temperature by hundreds of times. Under the extreme heat, the Plane Seeds slowly melted.

Under Leng Yaozhu's guidance, the molten energy dripped onto the Yellow Emperor Sword, which instantly absorbed it all.

Xia Yi seized the moment and unleashed a wisp of Phoenix Fire onto the sword. The tremendous heat softened the blade slightly.

He immediately released his martial soul, activated Fox Mind Art, and raised his Creation Hammer — then struck hard.

Sizzle!

With each hammer strike, the Yellow Emperor Sword emitted a clear and resonant chime.

"This is 100% fusion forging," Leng Yaozhu gasped. She finally understood why Xia Yi's forging once attracted a heavenly tribulation.

Boom! As expected, the skies above the Blood God Camp erupted with thunderclouds. Leng Yaozhu instantly soared up, attempting to block the lightning.

She had seen Zhen Hua forge four-word battle armor — all heavenly-forged metals needed assistance to survive tribulations.

Otherwise, even heavenly-forged metals would be destroyed by the lightning.

"Don't! The Yellow Emperor Sword needs the lightning's baptism!" Xia Yi stopped her, then flew into the air with the sword — he didn't want the forging room to be destroyed by the thunder.

Ignoring the nine-colored tribulation thunder forming in the sky, Xia Yi continued forging until, a quarter hour later, the soul forging process was complete. As the Yellow Emperor Sword fully took shape, the sky struck down the first bolt.

"Roar! Screech!"

The Yellow Emperor Sword didn't retreat but instead rose to meet the lightning head-on, dragon and phoenix spiraling upward into the storm, flying freely through the nine-colored thunderbolts.

"An artifact is born. Blood One's power will skyrocket," someone within the Blood God Legion — a powerful figure — said while watching the skies. Some were overjoyed, others resentful.

But no one could do anything about it. Leng Yaozhu's name was already legendary.

Now, with an artifact at her side, who dared scheme against her?

"Damn it. That aura from Leng Yaozhu… Just looking at her makes me feel like kneeling. At this rate, soon we won't even have the courage to fight her," Long Yeyue muttered. Floating in the sky, Leng Yaozhu radiated a pressure so strong that even without actively releasing it, it nearly overwhelmed Long Yeyue.

"Sister Yue, you'll feel better if you let go of your hostility," Guan Yue said, glancing at her. Leng Yaozhu's pressure was intense — but it wasn't quite at the point of forcing a Limit Douluo to their knees.

It was because Long Yeyue harbored too much resentment, and Leng Yaozhu's aura had latched onto that.

See? The regular soldiers in the Blood God Legion were just fine.

"I heard Xia Yi forged a cauldron-type artifact in Star Luo City. Now he's just arrived and already helped Leng Yaozhu forge another artifact. That proves he can mass-produce them. Do you think we can get him to forge one for us too?" Bright Mirror Douluo Zhang Huanyun's eyes blazed as he looked up at Xia Yi and Leng Yaozhu.

Artifacts… even in the Douluo Continent, there were only a handful.

If Xia Yi could forge them, any price would be worth paying.
