Henry's POV
I delivered another kick to the man on the floor before crouching down and grabbing his throat when I heard the guard.
"Devin. Visitor."
Standing up, I walked to the prison bars and let myself get cuffed. I was brought outside, through the corridors, into the same room where I had visited Kenny.
I swallowed the sharp pain that sliced through my insides whenever I was so vividly reminded of Kenny's absence and took a seat.
Ethan, on the other side, took the speaker, and I did as well.
"The parole hearing will be in a week. Are you sure that you don't want to go?" He asked.
I looked at the little desk on which the window between us sat.
"You know why I have to stay here. Why do you even ask such a question?"
He leaned back and nodded.
"Is there any news?"
"No." I spat, forcing the word out of my mouth, leaving me with a dreadful aftertaste.
