"And how would we find that? There are nearly no other organizations here in George district that are willing to help out rouge Avid members. " Alita continued
"Do you want me to just sit down and do nothing while the spirits who hurt my only friends are now relaxing and enjoying themselves?" Oliver Asked.
"No, I want you to be logical about, and find a better way to take revenge. Am I not your friend to Oliver? I don't want to see you recklessly hurt yourself." Alita said Emma wasn't sure what side to support, both seemed very intiscing to her.
Oliver looked like he wanted to say something, but just stopped himself; And was now Looking at the floor dejectedly.
"It's not like we cant do anything if we leave Avid though." Alita suddenly announced. Oliver had looked up at the floor with hope filled in his eyes.
"I know a group of people who are willing to help, but I would have to be doing a whole bunch of stuff that I wouldn't wish to do in a thousand lifetimes, plus they wouldn't be willing to directly help out. So if you guys want the help, I'm going to be needing you guys to train your absolute hardest and the most efficiently. I cant have some low level spirits fight an entire organization." Alita told them.
"What group of people? I thought you said no one in George district is willing to help out." Emma suddenly spoke up.
"Yeah, pretty much in George district is willing to help out." Alita reaffirmed with a smile. "But someone in other districts would want to."
"Why?" Emma asked.
"They owe me a favor, or maybe four." Alita answered, looking at Emma in a way that told her to not pry further.
"Alright, so what type of training will I be doing?" Emma asked, trying to get away from that topic.
"Thats what you, and Oliver need to figure out. It'll take me a month to go there, make a deal with them, and come back. So train wisely." Alita told them.
"Yes ma'am." the two said in union.
"Also one more thing, does this mean we're leaving Avid?" Emma asked.
**
"So Oliver, what exactly can I do to train?" Emma asked in the living area of Avids E team base, Although they had said they were leaving they hadn't really done that yet. It was hard to give up a free house, and free food. So they considered themselves unofficial not Avid members, but technically still were.
By this time Alita had already left early in the morning, saying that she needed not to waste any amount of time.
"Wel the first thing I would suggest you do is to increase your spirituality." Oliver said.
"How?" Emma asked immediately.
"I was getting to that, you can do that by exhausting it till you're near your limit. But, not too close to your limit, or you might die." Oliver finished.
Die? She might die from just training, wasn't that a bit absurd then? 'I want to get back at Shy House though, they would require me to do very dangerous things. If I can't do this, I can't do anything.'
"Its fine then, I planned to push myself to the limit anyway. So what do we do now?" Emma asked.
"Deplete your spirituality. Remember what Boss said to you last Night. Just use your ability a ton and it will be depleted for you." Oliver answered.
"I mean, alright." Emma responded, she hadn't really known what to shapeshift into right now, right now she could only do one of two transformations. One was Kushtaka, she could transform into that spirit because of how much she understood that spirit, and knows how it would work.
And for the other, the giant pale skin Lost she had first fought, she had not known why it was so easier for her to transform in it, maybe it was because of desperation that Emma turned to a half baked smaller version of it.
She decided to go with Kushtaka, since she understood it best. Emma slowly took the shape of a large humanoid otter.
Oliver had looked at her with interest and said, "Could you turn any bigger?"
"Yes, but only by a bit" Emma responded and did what she was asked to do.
"Do you feel a small, medium, or large drain of energy when you do that?" Oliver asked.
At first she hadn't even noticed it, she was actually losing energy from doing this! She should have already noticed this.
"Medium, it wasn't that much, but definitely not that small. "
"Hmm, let me test something…" Oliver had begun inspecting Kushtaka's body, and began to value Emma just a bit more. "This is actually quite a neat ability, honestly I'm a bit jealous that I didn't get it."
Oliver had kicked her in the stomach, resulting in her nearly falling to the ground.
"Did you lose any Spirituality from that? I got to understand your ability first. If we're going to be fighting against someone, in the future, I want you to be ready." Oliver said with clam eyes.
"You too," Emma responded, leaving the building with less awareness. Of action.
**
Emma had turned on and off her ability many times throughout the day. It was rather hard for Emma. She did it. She finally felt like her spirituality was depleting by a lot, after maybe 5 or 6 transformations between the two things.
Oliver had also learnt that the transformation themselves cost spirituality, but not the ability to keep it active. He also figured out that damage isn't a big part of her abilities depletion, meaning that he could hurt her a lot, and she would use as much as she used by simply existing. One thing Emma learned was that everyone actively wasted Spirituality all the time, which made her feel unsafe since she could die at any moment.
"There nothing to worry about, it's kind of like how energy inside humans works right."
