Thalion led Liam and William into the training room, a sprawling, state-of-the-art facility designed to simulate real-world combat scenarios. The walls were lined with advanced weaponry and training equipment, and the air hummed with the faint energy of the protective barriers that surrounded the sparring area. Thalion turned to Liam, his expression serious.
"Put on your battlesuit," he said, gesturing to a sleek, metallic suit hanging on the wall. "It'll absorb most of the impact and prevent serious injuries. You'll feel the hit, but not the pain. It'll also protect you from fractures and muscle ruptures, though you might end up with some cuts and bruises. Those can be healed easily with basic healing magic."
Liam glanced at the suit, his expression thoughtful. Under normal circumstances, he would have agreed—the suit would allow for a more realistic battle simulation without the risk of severe injury. But today, he wanted to push himself, to test his limits.
