The Reid family was full of schemers—collectively they probably had three thousand tricks up their sleeves. So how on earth did they end up raising a Luke?
Selina couldn't even be bothered to explain. She replied casually, "Yeah, I'm so touched to have a friend like that."
Luke: "…" Why did that sound kind of sarcastic?
But as a naive marshmallow, he didn't think too hard about it. "Didn't you say you had a custom ring made? It's ready. Want to go pick it up?"
Selina was surprised. "Already?"
She had sent Rowan's design sketches to one of the Reid Group's jewelry factories. Usually it would take a month, minimum. She hadn't expected it to be done in just ten days.
Luke sounded a bit smug. "Of course! Do you know whose factory that is?"
It was his. Sure, he didn't actually manage it, but it was under his name, and he'd personally followed up. How could they not take it seriously?
