Kevin turned his steer and took a u-turn at a junction. Then he navigated through conjested areas with traffic lights totally changing his route. Eventually he was able to get the person following him to get pulled behind. Then he sighed knowing he had lost the person. He was surprised knowing who exactly was following him. If it had been years or even months ago, he wouldn't have been this surprised but Linda was pregnant. He never thought she could risk risk jer life and the child's owns. It seemed he no more knew his sister again. He sighed and drove his car. Upon reaching another traffic light, he thought of the problem Ron had just talked about and dailed a number. It was like a flash and the call was answered. Then a respectful voice came through.
" S... sir good afternoon, I hope you are doing good. wh.. what makes you call me today "
Kevin gave out a strange laughter, with a mischievous expression as always plastered on his face. He said
" oh, good afternoon general, you shouldn't be so respectful, after all who am I. A nobody"
The person at the other end quickly said seriously as if he was afraid of something
" no, no sir. I need to be more than the word respectful towards you. I am the nobody, you shouldn't degrade yourself sir. Tell me what is wrong and I would deal with it "
Kevin couldn't help but laugh out again at the man's words. He said playfully
" really, it is very good that you know who you are. Never forget how you got to where you are now "
The voice at the other end became serious again and he said
" I would never forget sir. Tell me the problem
Kevin smiled in satisfaction and said
" so tell me general how come a nobody like you, dare to other your men to surround the coastal area and arrest my men together with my precious drugs. "
The man gasped in shock. Kevin needed not to be told that the man was now soaking in sweat. He could area imagine it
" wha.... what, sir tho.... those goods are from the bla.....black circle. I didn't know sir, please forgive me, I wouldn't have gave out such an order, had I known it was from the black circle. I'm...I'm sorry sir "
Kevin could feel the man's teeth chattering but he wasn't done. He asked
" do you know how much those drugs cost. And you've made them wait on the sea for too long thus reducing thier quality. Do you even know the consequence of your actions"
The man apologised
" I'm really sorry sir. I had no idea, I would fix it now. Please don't be mad at me. I would even compensate "
Kevin thought of teasing him more but decided against it he had to go back and rest. When the green light popped on the traffic light, he drove his car and made sure that car wasn't still following him.
Meanwhile, Linda who was following Kevin saw him suddenly navigating through conjested areas and she knew she had been caught. She tried keeping up with him but Kevin was too fast. She sighed in defeat and thought of going back but her curiosity got the better part of her and she drove her car around aimlessly trying to figure out where Kevin would be. But she never saw him and just when she had given up, she saw him again, in the traffick jam. She became so happy, but she couldn't follow him with this car. She quickly thought of something and parked her car at a side since the traffic wasn't very heavy. She knew she had few minutes to do whatever she had to do before the green light pops up. She saw a man standing besides a not so fancy car not far away and went to him. She went to him and quickly asked him to lend her his car. The man wasn't pleased with her demand and quickly refused. In fact who would accept such a request, what if the car was never returned. But Linda told him that she really needed the car and her car was just behind. He can take it if she doesn't return the car. This made the man look at her more suspiciously and said what if she had rather stolen that car. Linda passed him her number and the drivers licence. Before the man could react, she stuffed her car key into his hands and took his, then she quickly sat in and drove the car away trying her best to keep up with Kevin since the green light had already shown.
This time she followed him at a good pace and made sure she wouldn't be caught again.
Kevin continued to drive his car with nothing in his head but the rest he was going to have. He just couldn't wait to have his head on those soft pillows again. Never would he have thought that he was still being followed and he would lead Linda to one of thier secret hideouts.
Soon Kevin reached his destination and parked his car outside. Thier hideouts wasn't anything suspicious, just a normal house in a forest like place but the house seemed complicated. Kevin entered the house and was greeted by some men. There were several people living in the house. This hideouts of thiers were specifically made to store thier weapons, expensive goods, some drugs and even explosives. Kevin went to his room to finally have some rest when a call from Ron came through.
Linda parked her car at a very safe place and stared at Kevin as in entered the building. Just a glance and she knew it was probably dome bunch of criminals hideout. She became more confused but one thought was running through her mind
" The message and everything in front of her showed. This was Maxwell's doing. How dare him she thought. Since that fateful day, she had hated Maxwell to the bone and no more cared about him. He should have understood her message but he still dared to disturb her peace of mind. She furiously took out her phone and texted the police about the hideout she had unexpectedly discovered. After making sure they were on thier way, she turned to leave but then recalled Kevin. Is he really her brother. Are her instincts right. She checked her time and thought, it is a long way here, the police are not going to arrive here early, she would escape before that happens but for now, she needed to confirm if it was her brother or not. She took two deep breath and secretly entered the building, totally avoiding being caught. She had done this several time even expecially when she was a kid. Breaking into the enemy's hideout has been her food and she misses it. Even if she was now pregnant, she could still do it without being caught.
But she never expected things to take a different turn and she would be in trouble.
