Chapter 10: A New Beginning
Sophia's excitement was palpable as she received the job offer details. She eagerly accepted the terms and began preparing for her first day. Nora celebrated with her, and they went to their favorite food stall to enjoy a soft drink and some delicious food.The night was filled with laughter and chatter as Sophia felt a sense of accomplishment.
The day arrived, and Sophia woke up with a smile and Positive energy. After a nutritious breakfast, she walked to the company, with dressed professionally.
Kevin greeted her warmly. "Welcome, Sophia. I'm glad you're here." He introduced her to the team, and Sophia felt a sense of belonging. She greeted Kevin and the other employees, and Kevin introduced her to Dylan.
Dylan greeted Sophia, and she was struck by his commanding presence. "Kevin, show her desk and get her started working on the documents , "Dylan instructed".
Kevin nodded and led Sophia to her workstation. As they walked, Sophia noticed her desk was strategically placed where Dylan could observe her from his cabin.
"Kevin, can I change my desk?" Sophia asked, feeling a bit uneasy about being watched all the time. Kevin hesitated before responding.
"Sophia, Dylan specifically requested that you sit here so he can keep an eye on your work. You're his personal assistant, after all." Sophia's eyes widened in understanding.
Kevin said, "Also, when Dylan enters his cabin, please make sure to get him a coffee with less sugar with strong coffee. And whatever work he assigns, please prioritize it immediately."
Sophia nodded, taking mental notes. "Got it, Secretary Kevin." Kevin smiled and handed her a bunch of documents.
"Handle these documents by tomorrow morning, please." Sophia's eyes widened in surprise. "Ahhh! That's a lot of work for one day."
Kevin shrugged. "I can't do anything about it, Sophia. Dylan's orders." Sophia stared at Dylan's cabin with a hint of frustration, feeling a bit overwhelmed.
Kevin noticed her gaze and said, "Don't worry, Sophia. If you need any help, just let me know. I'll be happy to assist you." Sophia smiled weakly and thanked him.
As Kevin left, Sophia sat down and began arranging her desk with some decorated stickers and photos. She took a deep breath and dove into the documents, determined to complete them on time.
The hours flew by, and Sophia became completely absorbed in her work. She forgot to eat lunch, but her focus remained unwavering. The office buzzed with energy, and Sophia thrived in the dynamic environment.
As the day drew to a close, Sophia felt exhausted but satisfied with the progress she'd made. She glanced up at Dylan's cabin, wondering what the future held for her in this new role.
