"Now boys I expect you to show no fucking mercy on the fucking pitch. I don't want to see anyone on the opposing team being able to walk after you are done with them. Edward, I expect only great results from you as captain and Connor you're there to support him. I don't want any fucking mistakes tonight boys," Coach screamed at us as we all sat down in the locker room.
The air was thick with pregame tension and you could hear the fans screaming from above us. It was mayhem but that was often when we played our best.
I was confident we were going to win. With Connor and I on the field the scales had tipped in our favor. I just prayed he had his head in the game so that I could have a great excuse to want to talk to him again. He had been following me around like a lost puppy.
