The old man did not shy away, simply dropping his trousers right by the roadside. Su Yufei could not manage much at the moment, as her fever was severe. Throughout the journey, as Jiang Xiaobai and the old man talked, she kept her eyes closed for rest, not uttering a single word.
Sitting in the donkey cart, unprotected from all sides, the wind blew unobstructed. Su Yufei could not bear the wind; whenever it blew on her, her illness worsened.
"Ms. Su, are you feeling okay?" Jiang Xiaobai saw Su Yufei looking listless and was very worried.
"I'm alright."
Hearing Jiang Xiaobai's voice, Su Yufei opened her eyes and smiled faintly.
The old man boarded the cart and continued to lead the donkey, driving them forward. Su Yufei felt quite uncomfortable as the cart jostled about.
"Xiaobai, there seems to be a fox over there, look quickly."
Following Su Yufei's pointing finger, Jiang Xiaobai looked but shook his head, as he saw nothing but some bushes.
"No, I didn't see a fox."
