The last three weeks have been a learning experience for Jake to say the least. Fu had a review with the Magical companion commission where as a replacement came Bananas B who later defected to Cheng's side after he exposed that Chang had escaped the Ellis island prison. Then he learnt the true meaning of camping while Brad won the Mugwomp cup but Jake had a embarrassing recording of Brad and his team which he used to it's maximum effect.
Now some may ask why I'm not taking care of him at every chance. The answer is simple because I never intervene excessively and I always make certain that Jake learns the necessary lesson. Now if the timeline is anything to be remembered today is the day those Strigoi vermin will try to kill my beloved son. At that moment J.A.R.V.I.S chimed in," Sir, the Strigoi family has been located at the Golden gate bridge. What's our course of action?"
" Keep a combat drone on their tails at all times and make certain that it has a clear shot." I said while tying my tie. Susan and Haley went to the convention centre today. Jake has woken up and finished the morning routine. " Well, son I remember you groaning every time you had to go to my previous workplace which I agree is very boring. But this year I promise that you will have the time of your life and tomorrow I'm taking you to build sandcastles at Rockaway beach." I said to Jake.
" How about just a visit to the beach? " Said Jake. Jonathan sighed and said," I know it's embarrassing to make a sandcastle at your age with your old man but I would love it if you fulfilled this little request but I don't mind if you reject it." Jake suddenly remembered everything that Jonathan had done for him and how he guided Jake in his own way.
Jake took a deep breath and said," You know what? Screw it!! Let people think whatever they want to think I'm building that sandcastle or die trying." " Whoa whoa, easy there champ. No need to die it's a sandcastle not a siege." Said Jonathan in a fake worried voice. Both of them had a good laugh. " Well, let's get the tour started." Said Jonathan.

In the long boring New York traffic a long black car with a gargoyle hood ornament which was clearly out of place was mixed in the traffic. Inside it was three red heads and a coffin. The red headed males had very pale skin while having sharp fangs as teeth. One of them said in an accented giddy voice said," Ooh, ooh I can't believe it! We are finally here in New York. Home of the Yankees, the golden gate bridge, the empire states building and the Lady Liberty." Suddenly the coffin lid slammed open which hit the giddy person and from it came out an old woman.
" Quiet!! We came here to find the American dragon not sightseeing." Yelled the frail woman. One of the pale people with back slicked red hair said," Forgive him mama. You know how excited he gets about New York. Please lead us to the location of the American Dragon." The older woman rubbed her forehead and said," I see him. He is sharp, masculine and has pointy hair. The address is 177A Bleecker Street, Infinitum Tower." She fainted after giving the prediction.
" Um, did mama just say Infinitum Tower?" Asked the son who was driving. The back slicked asked," Yes. Is there a problem?" " Well, if that description matches one person then that will be Jonathan Long who by the way currently is the owner of the mega corporation which globally operates a military triad unseen since the time of the British East India Company." Said the son in the driver's seat.
" So, what? It's not like he can bring the full might of his scattered military to bear at New York." Asked slick. " You misunderstood. I'm talking about his combat prowess I mean he can't be boastful like other dragons. Because business runs on cold calculation not pompousness." Said the buff one. Slick sighed and said," Listen, we weren't meant to be able to hunt dragons in the first place because they don't control the magical world for nothing. The Transylvanian dragon can't even be touched because of his half dragon half vampire lineage giving him unparalleled power which is said to be only defeated by the American Dragon. The other dragons are pompous because they are young if it was the older dragons we would be dead before we can even reach them. Dragons like Andam, Kulde or Lao Shi are avoided by us at all costs.
Be grateful that you are alive but luck runs out sooner or later. So, let's see if we're lucky again. Now let's go to 177A Bleecker Street."
JonathanPOV:
I was looking at the information about the Strigoi at the HUD of my glasses while showing the mobile phone manufacturing plants at the 20th and 21st floor to Jake where raw material was processed into atoms and repurposed by the fabricators to produce various electronic parts and equipments. Meanwhile the basement houses the server room and the reactor room. 148th floor houses Jonathan's office while 130th to 147th floor houses Jonathan's various labs.
Suddenly a call came from J.A.R.V.I.S notifying the pair that a Strigoi family from Transylvania came to the lobby hoping for a meeting with Jonathan as they want to make a deal with Long Technologies about buying textile machinery. Jonathan agreed and arranged a conference room which has plenty of sunshine. The Strigoi brothers came in holding umbrellas. They took a seat waiting for Jonathan after half an hour Jonathan came in and he was exuding murderous aura so much that it made the Strigoi fearful of Jonathan despite having a bright smile on his face.
The Strigois stood up, bowed and said in a shaky voice," Greetings, Mr. Long. It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance." Jonathan ever the gentleman said," Please, please. No need for formalities just Mr. Long is fine. So, gentlemen I heard you guys want some toys to make your clothes production faster." " Yes, Mr. Long we would like to purchase 20 sets of Flexity series hyper speed cloth Looms and thirty sets of Humming series Yarn threading machines for our factory at Transylvania." Replied Slick.
" Hmm, for an order of such a small scale It's unnecessary to talk with me. You could have just order from the Infinibazzar without leaving your country." Asked Jonathan in a skeptical voice. " Ah, my deepest apologies Mr. Long. I conveyed my information wrongly. What I meant was factories 25 to be specific and yes we did want to talk with you personally as an excuse to visit New York as well after all we and our mother are very active travelers." Replied Slick.
" Very well, gentlemen the deal will cost 35 million dollars after paying taxes both American and Romanian. Shall we sign the deal?" Said Jonathan. " Yes, of course. But perhaps it can be done after we had a meal after all we are famished from the long journey." Said Slick. Jonathan looked at his wrist watch and said," While it's still early I see no problem with going a little off schedule. Any recommendations, Jakearoo?" " You guys up for some Italian?" Asked Jake. " Yes, Italian sounds lovely." Replied Slick.

Familio Festevedro is a bustling restaurant a few blocks away from Infinitum Tower but it's very popular for its authentic Italian taste and generous portions while remaining affordable for the middle class public. Spud's father runs the kitchen while his mother helps as a prep cook and today due to it being TYCTWD Spud was working as a waiter. Jonathan along with Jake and the Strigoi brothers entered the Familio Festevedro and Spud came to greet them. " Welcome to Familio Festevedro would you like our deluxe window table." Asked Spud.
" Ooh, surrre." Said Moron but Slick interrupted him and said," Pardon my brother as he forgets about us having Porphyria and we will need a booth with very little to no lights if possible." " Well, right this way." Said Spud while leading them to the booth. Jonathan after entering the booth excused himself saying that he had to go to the washroom and at that moment came Glamis Cutler who is famous New York food critique along with his son and Jonathan using his HUD did a scan on the boy to confirm that he had indeed got a root canal done and his face was limp due to the anesthetic.
Meanwhile Jake got out and called Fu to report the abnormalities of the Strigois. Fu said," Uh oh, I hope I'm not right." Then Fu flipped a few pages and a magical projection of the Strigois came out. " Curse my encyclopedic knowledge. They are Strigois and you're facing the Strigoi family. They are like vampires except they need dragon blood instead of human blood. Their mother Queen Liliana has psychic visions which allows them to pinpoint the exact location of the nearest dragon. Get out of there quickly kid." Said Fu.
Jonathan was meanwhile checking the dopamine, serotonin, and endorphin levels of the kid of Cutler and it was rising thanks to Spud's jokes. I waited for the surprise birthday choir to appear and I did appear at the booth when the choir began. As the choir was pulling people from every table Jake suddenly pushed me out of the booth and I was swept away by the dancing crowd. Jake said," So, let's fight..... huh?" Jake was confused as the morons went after Jonathan as they yelled," Quick, the American dragon is getting swooped away."
Which confused Jake but he took the chance and exposed them to the sun and they got a nasty sun burn which resulted in them rescheduling the meeting at 9 P.M. Jake and I had a meal consisting of Scaloppine, some Ravioli and a little bit of Gelato for dessert. I decided to take a break and go a little far as I will be back by the time of the meeting meanwhile Jake rips out a tail light in order to stall Jonathan's return. Meanwhile Lao Shi and Fu gave him solar sand which when it gets hot enough can create sunshine as bright as day. The Strigois wheel in their mother Liliana. I meanwhile used the teleporter to teleport at one of the empty apartments of Infinitum Tower. I made my way towards the conference room before I equipped my latest creations " God's Messenger " and " Lament of Regret " which were volkite combustion and temporal collusion weapon packed in one package and I took the chainsword with monomolecularly edged teeth.

Jake meanwhile was beating the three brothers as if they were ragdolls. Finally Slick took out a spear which had a braid of Sphinx hair tied to it which significantly weakened Jake but they still couldn't get an upper hand on him but luck was not on Jake's side as he lost his motor function coordination which resulted him in getting kicked out of the conference room by Bufoon and he landed on a cubicle as his conscience was flickering in and out and at that moment I came beside Jake. I checked his pulse and put him down at the office chair of the cubicle and patted his head gently.
I entered the conference room. Slick in his usual arrogant voice said," I see you have reverted back to your human form American Dragon. Big mistake, if you think that the Sphinx hair won't affect you in your human form then you're very much wrong." I didn't bother with his taunting as I looked towards Queen Liliana. I took slow deliberate steps towards the saggy mutant bitch. They tried to attack me to which I simply defended without causing them much harm.
" The day my son Jacob Luke ' Jake ' Long was born I looked at him and promised myself that I will give him all the things I didn't have in my life and protect him with all my life and strength. I saw him becoming the greatest dragon to ever exist whether in terms of strength or achievement but I still protected him from afar or directly in disguise. But you have hurt him in order to kill him and drink his blood at his own home which is unforgivable." I said and I was in front of Queen Liliana who is blissfully unaware of her predicament.
Of course, they tried to open the door to get Jake as hostage which resulted in failure because they are trapped in the soundproof conference room with me. I took out the chainsword from my trench coat and started the motor. The chainsaw sprang to life and let out a gut wrenching roar as the saw teeth started rotating. The Strigois watched in horror as I brought down the chainsword on Queen Liliana's chest and it tore through her flesh, bones and organs.
The bloody squelch of flesh tearing, bone grinding and organs rupturing along with the roar of chainsword and the agonizing scream of Queen Liliana echoed throughout the room. Queen Liliana died an agonizing death and her body parts along with her blood was everywhere. The Strigoi brothers were stunned as they witnessed the horrific carnage I committed without batting an eye. When they regained their senses they became so enraged that they attacked me like mindless beasts.
I used the Volkite Combustion mode of my guns to turn the three brothers into ash. I kept Queen Liliana's head as a trophy which will be kept at my personal vault. I walked out to see Jake still unconscious so I simply took out some smelling salt which resulted in Jake waking up with a jolt. Jake looked confused and asked," What happened to the Strigois?" " Nothing much. Just turned to dust by the security system when you were away from danger." I replied without batting an eye. I took Jake home and the next day we spent the entire day at Rockaway beach building sandcastles and doing other fun activities. Familio Festevedro was rated 2 1/2 stars out of 3 by Glamis Cutler.
