The scene still haunted Jaeha. It had been a year since that incident. On his bed layed Anna peaceful in her slumber. Jaeha walked out to the balcony to take a smoke.
He was the worst. Here beside him laid the love of his life yet every night he was tormented by those eyes. She lied. She had in fact betrayed him. Why couldn't she have just lived and paid for her crimes like the villain she was...the villain she was made.
He truly was the lowest. His dreams becoming more obscure as time went. He never noticed the subtle changes in her expressions when she was here yet in his dreams she appears more vividly than she ever seemed in that time. He did not realize her importance in his life. He was-is tied to her is ways he, himself couldn't explain.
Anna started noticing his changes so in the heat of the moment he proposed to her. It didn't matter he had to protect Anna, physically and emotionally.
They would go to Spain tomorrow. The place where he and Anna first met. He did all he could to appear sincere. He was the picture of the perfect lover.
Another cigarette.
Truly trash.
He watched the lit bud fall till the burning red crumbled into black ash. Marriage.
