Ranon looked at Hazel in her wedding dress. She was stunningly beautiful, and there was something about her that made him unable to take his eyes off her.
Probably because of the mystery that surrounded her or the way she contradicted everything that he knew.
However, he was attracted to her in a way that was hard to explain.
Seeing her, smiling so innocently and staring at him with those soft brown eyes, made Ranon want to shake her body and stop her pretense.
He wanted to interrogate her, but at the same time, he enjoyed discovering pieces by pieces of her. She felt like a challenge, but in a good way.
"You smell like tobacco," Hazel said in a low voice when Ranon took her hand from her father. She scrunched her nose. "I can smell cancer from you."
And this was one of the reasons why Ranon enjoyed being around her. You didn't know what came out of her smart mouth.
"I am nervous."
