She woke from her slumber to find her darling goat resting with her, Darrach napping on her arm like a pillow. As she stirred, he awoke as well - bleating and giving a little lick to her cheek.
That sweet baby. Darry.
Rache didn't waste much more of her precious energy moving around - and definitely not moving her arms and disturbing Darry.
She just smiled fondly as the darling goat wiggled a little closer, his soft nose pressing against the skin of her neck and face.
He gave another affectionate little nuzzle before resettling and closing his big, adorable eyes.
There were soft murmurs and a shuffling noise that seemed vaguely familiar but difficult to place, somewhere from her past.
Darrach shifted, perhaps aware of her movement or disturbed by the sounds, but didn't bother lifting his head from its comfortable perch. Instead he just looked up, his long neck twisting awkwardly so that he could turn his face and see.
