Chapter 429 - Chapter 428: One Room, Three People

As he spoke, Pei Guang pulled out his phone and messaged Bronya.

Pei Guang: "Hey, you there? We found an armory. Since you guys aren't using these mechs and equipment, can I take them?"

Bronya barely even hesitated before replying.

Bronya: "Go ahead. If we can't use them, they'd be better off in your hands. Honestly, if we measured value, what you've given to Belobog is worth more than an entire armory could ever compare to."

For Bronya, granting Pei Guang this request required no second thought. She didn't even know how to properly thank him anymore.

This wasn't just gratitude for Pei Guang and his team saving Belobog—it was also because he continued to look out for the city, actively helping it develop.

Leaving aside the foundational technologies Seele had brought back from the Xianzhou, there was also the whole Echo of War business Pei Guang had set up in Scalegorge Waterscape.

Not only had he roped Seele into the business, but he even gave her a share of the profits!

To enter the Echo of War required someone to lead the way. Originally, the revenue was split 40% to Pei Guang, 40% to Bailu, and 20% to Jing Yuan. However, since Jing Yuan refused his share, he handed over his 20% to Seele, letting her lead people into the Echo of War.

Seele, in turn, had redirected all her earnings back to Belobog.

And how much was this 20% worth? Bronya could only describe it as a number beyond comprehension.

Because of all this, Bronya saw Pei Guang as Belobog's true savior.

Whatever Pei Guang wanted to do? Let him do it. She trusted him completely.

Some might call this kind of trust naive—putting blind faith in someone could lead to being scammed out of everything.

But for a player? An NPC putting this much trust in them—how could they ever betray that?

For a second playthrough, who knows? But for the first playthrough, there's no way he would ever do anything to a character who's so good-looking, friendly, and blindly trusts the player.

Seeing Bronya's message, Pei Guang turned to March 7th and Svarog. "She agreed. Let's pack everything up and take it all."

March 7th: "Awesome~"

Pei Guang and March 7th wasted no time. They carved out a passage through the rock wall and, like an ultimate free shopping spree, marched right into the armory.

Mechs? Take them!

Equipment? Take it!

Since the company never provided the activation protocols before they left, all of the machines and equipment here had been completely unusable. For Bronya, this stockpile was essentially worthless.

In just a few hours, Pei Guang and March 7th completely emptied the entire armory. What was once a facility packed with machines now stood barren.

Watching this all happen, Svarog felt like its CPU was overheating.

It already knew that the Trailblazer was a mysterious anomaly, but no matter how much it understood that, actually witnessing it firsthand always left its circuits struggling to process.

March 7th stretched and let out a tired sigh. "Phew~ That was exhausting… After all this, I feel like my body's about to fall apart. I need a long, good sleep after this."

She was proud of their work, but the fatigue was real. At this point, she was looking forward to crashing into bed and sleeping through the night.

Pei Guang: "Agreed. We should get some proper rest. Should we head back to the Express or stay in Belobog?"

March 7th blinked a few times as she thought. "I think~ how about Goethe Hotel in the Overworld? I kinda miss that place~"

For her, Goethe Hotel held so many fun memories. Now that they were back in Belobog, she really wanted to stay there for a night.

Pei Guang: "Alright then, Goethe Hotel it is. After we check in, I'll deliver all this stuff to Earth and then come back."

He wasn't even sure if any of these machines would be useful, but following the classic mindset: better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it.

Who knew? Maybe some genius back home would get inspired and come up with some crazy new tech after studying these mechs.

March 7th: "Let's go~ Time to rest~ Oh, let me text Stelle."

As she typed, she muttered under her breath, "If you're done over there, come to Goethe Hotel. We're staying there for the night~"

After sending the message, Pei Guang and March 7th left in high spirits. Once they were completely gone, Svarog stood in silence, staring at the empty facility.

It pondered for a moment before deciding to stop thinking altogether.

Trying to make sense of Pei Guang's actions was pointless. No matter how much it analyzed, the outcome was always unpredictable. The only thing that mattered was remembering one simple rule: as long as Pei Guang's orders didn't threaten Belobog's survival, just follow them.

Pei Guang had already achieved something even the company couldn't—ensuring Belobog's long-term survival. If it couldn't trust him, then who else could it trust?

If Svarog had to choose the most reliable entity among all the factions and individuals it had recorded, the Astral Express and Pei Guang would be at the top of the list.

Inside the hotel, Pei Guang and March 7th were at the front desk, ready to book three rooms for the night.

However, when Pei Guang asked for three rooms, the hotel staff apologetically informed them, "I'm terribly sorry, Trailblazers, but we only have one room available tonight. Would that be acceptable…?"

Pei Guang: "Huh? Only one? Then never mind. Let's just head back to the Express to rest."

His thought process was simple: if there was only one room, they wouldn't be able to stay together anyway.

But as soon as March 7th heard "only one room" she took a deep breath. "Just one, huh? We'll take it. But if it's just one room~ can the two of us share it?"

The hotel staff smiled. "Of course, not a problem. Actually, even three people could share if needed."
