Worried about Morris's loyalty?
He's a survivor from the first stage of the experiments; Berick's files know Morris even better than Morris knows himself.
Before the conversation, he was genuinely concerned the guy would deny everything, as that would mean Morris had other ideas in mind.
According to the various experimental data of the Fifth Stage drug, this is not a good sign.
Berick stood up and said, "Morris, from now on you're no longer a Lieutenant, but a Lieutenant Colonel, skipping three ranks. The paperwork might be delayed for a few days."
"Thank you, General, but that's just a part of it."
"Keep that ambition, Morris," Berick spoke, "You are the perfect test subject. We're not sure about your lifespan to be honest, but believe me, you're free from those lethal Super Soldier side effects."
At this point, Berick paused, "Do you still want to know the truth?"
