Brandon, all, but heard silence from Killian. It gave him the answer he wanted to hear. Killian was not convinced.
"What?" Even though he had asked a question, it seems like he was begging more. "What can I do for you, Killian? How do I make you understand my point without making you think that I am embarrassed of you which I am not?"
"Because you allow others to control your life. To control what you have with me."
His voice remained quiet, like his mind was elsewhere and not in the room that he was standing in with Brandon.
This was unlikely, Killian was one of the people that was always present in the moment, his mind always working to bring out the best of the situation into his favour.
If he was so far away, then he wasn't even doing his calculations like he always did.

"Yes, you do." Killian accentuated the words, proving his point. "The entire conversation that we are having is because you are allowing others to control the narrative."
