It was 8 o'clock when Brandon finished his work. Megan had left already, in fact she had left around 6:30. Something she told Brandon that she had done in years.
His work, however, was pending, and by the time it was completed, it was dark outside and the time for dinner.
His phone buzzed and he checked for the message, knowing that it was Killian at this time. Who else texted him anyway?
'Wait for me at the entrance.'
So he wanted to go home together? Fine by Brandon.
He packed up everything, waved at people who waved back at him, and finally stepped into the lift with five other people. Monday sometimes meant overtime for almost everyone, given everyone was running around to complete their work that they had either over the weekend or had to start the week.
When he came around the entrance of the building, it was obvious that a lot of other people were there. They were leaving, but it wouldn't be safe to assume that they would not notice things.
