People nowadays are so temperamental. Gu Tao waited from 7 AM till 6 PM, the end of his workday, and not a single one of the three job candidates showed up. When he called them, either they said it was too far, changed their minds, or simply didn't pick up the phone.
"Did I just waste my whole day for nothing?"
"Captain, why not raise the salary a bit?"
"In business, you've got to align with the market. As a newly opened company, offering extraordinarily high salaries right off the bat, you either look like a scammer, a money launderer or into pyramid schemes. Plus, even if we get someone capable and ambitious, we haven't nailed down what we're actually going to do. Do you want them wasting their youth here?"
"We have figured it out, last night during dinner you said our first product would be teddy bear cookies."
Gu Tao was stunned: "Are you serious?"
