Kaiden suddenly took off, flying like an arrow to the deep hole where the red glow filled with weight and vitality was coming from. He seemed to shatter the short calm that appeared, as wind started picking up again. Lucas took a step forward, both reflexively, but also because of the vitality, the life force the source of the red color was giving off.
"Cough…"
Lucas could not move further after his right foot stepped in front. He didn't simply cough out air. He coughed out blood, which fell in the palm of the left hand he used to block his mouth. He looked at the dark red color of the liquid which came out of his throat, and felt his body, which was in a worse state than it had been a year ago. He felt his insides tearing all over, with piercing pain starting from his very cells.
