If there was something that had been just as memorable as it had been confusing earlier, it had been the look of pity Kaiden had given Balk. It had really confused the latter, but now he understood, just with a price way higher than it should have been on the tag.
Balk had seen Lucas touching the halberd earlier, and he tried to do the same, after a fruitless look around it. His beady yellow eyes flashed, the thought coming up in his mind that Lucas might have found something, his actions he had observed before certainly having a purpose. So with no one to stop him, he sought to try his chance.
Balk extended his hand forward, a thin layer of energy covering him to allow the same ease Lucas had been moving under the heavy gravity with. He touched the dull blade of the halberd, and suddenly, his knees bucked, and he almost knelt.
