Otherworld Dungeon Arc
____________________
It all began on January 1st, 2000, when humanity celebrated the new millennium.
In the sky, they observed a strange rain of blue meteorites that illuminated the entire night sky. This meteor shower didn't just happen in one part of the planet; it occurred in every corner, lighting up the whole globe.
Starting on January 2nd, global news reported the following: "We are receiving the same images from all over the world that we can. Apparently, strange caves have emerged overnight. The caves have the appearance of towers, connecting to the depths of the earth. We will report as more is investigated."
Each government sent their respective scientists to investigate, along with their military power. No one returned alive.
The caves emanated toxic gases so potent that they neutralized any living being trying to enter instantly.
Not even radiation-proof suits would help. However, the toxic gas showed no signs of being either natural or artificial. It wasn't even radioactive. No one had any idea how to investigate something that prevented mobility.
Due to their dangerous nature, they decided to destroy them. From missiles to flames and even bombs, nothing could destroy these strange structures.
For this reason, the governments decided to seal the entrances and prohibit anyone from approaching.
A few days later, something strange happened.
From inside the caves came strange anthropomorphic creatures, which began attacking every living being they encountered.
Around the world, a similar invasion occurred.
Nightmarish monsters emerged and began to devour, cut, kill, swallow, and even kidnap people, taking them to their caves.
The armed forces used their weapons, but they were useless. The same weapons that terrified humanity were ineffective against a flesh-and-blood threat like them.
It seemed like humanity's end had come.
But then, an unexpected event occurred, which was called "The First Awakening." A young girl watched as a green creature dragged her mother into the cave. The girl cried and begged it to leave her mother alone. The pain and agony of seeing her mother's state shattered her to the point that all she could do was scream.
Then, at that moment when many could only watch helplessly, they witnessed an inexplicable event.
From the girl's hand, a ball of fire manifested and blew the creature's head into pieces.
That girl became marked in human history as the "First Adventurer," and her name was María Lancelot.
◇◇◇
Weeks passed, and around the world, more individuals with similar characteristics began to appear, facing these threats.
The monsters were destroyed, and then another surprising event occurred.
Some of the awakened entered the caves to search for the kidnapped people. They didn't know about the toxic gases, as it had been kept secret from the world, but these people were inhuman.
Not only that, but for them, the air was oxygen, and they didn't notice anything strange. If a person without these abilities entered, they would be dead from the start.
The world governments began to conduct tests and interrogate these individuals, deducing various hypotheses, but above all, understanding one thing.
"A new era has begun," commented a politician, who declared the awakened individuals as a precious asset for the country, and they were given benefits to explore these caves, which they called "Dungeons," full of monsters and precious jewels.
A general analysis indicated that on the day of the meteor shower, several people worldwide were sick for a few minutes and then recovered.
Another analysis indicated that people with special abilities would be called adventurers, as they were the only ones who could venture into the dungeons.
But being called that wasn't just because of their profession; it was because they could open a strange window that looked identical to those in video games.
With things like "Attack," "Health Power," "Magic Power," etc.
Including a strange title above their names that said "Job."
As time passed, dungeons and adventurers became normalized and became part of daily life.
But there was something that truly revolutionized the world, and that was the "Magic Stones." Rocks similar to precious stones like gold, but with pure energy that could be used to produce electrical energy.
A small magic stone can illuminate a village for a day.
A medium-sized magic stone can illuminate a small city.
And a large magic stone can replace dams and power plants without any problems.
That's where the real business occurred.
Magic stones are similar to nuclear energy, but cleaner and non-polluting. Once their internal energy disappears, they turn to dust.
Each country began its own business of collecting magic stones, as the global economy would now revolve around them.
Thus, today, in the year 2098, the collection of magic stones by adventurers is a profitable business for anyone, not even being a politician, doctor, or lawyer.
An adventurer is what anyone would want to be.
◇◇◇
In a country known as Japan, a woman with a badge that said "Adventurer's Guild" turned off a projector.
"That concludes the presentation. Now, some words from our president to all the new adventurers."
A hologram suddenly appeared; sitting there was a huge man with several scars on his face, gray hair, and brown eyes.
"It is a pleasure to greet the future generations of adventurers. I am the president of the Adventurer's Guild of Japan, Makiri Kyosuke."
"I'm sure you have many questions, as social media and television say things like 'Being an adventurer is easy' or 'I want to make a lot of money, so I'll be one.' Let me tell you that you are wrong."
"Being an adventurer is a profession where you risk your life. The government asked me to convince you, but I won't. I will always tell the truth, especially to young people who don't know what lies ahead."
"I won't get into your personal reasons for wanting to become one. I'll just say this: if it's really worth risking your life for money, or if you want to climb up the social ladder, then become one."
"But if you want to go back and hug your family, then desist."
"With that, I hope those of you with the willpower to be one, stay. If you don't, don't worry, the Adventurer's Guild will give you a secure job. If you'll excuse me, I hope you all have a great day."
President Makiri ended the call, and the person in charge of the new recruits didn't know what to say.
"W-What a great speaker our president is, hehehe. It's not that what he says is a lie, but that's why, when you join the guild, you are given a card where your rank is registered."
"A 'rank' is the classification of the level of your current skills, with rank E being the lowest and rank A the highest."
"There are also some who break the mold and are called rank S. I pray that, among you, there is a new rank S."
The assistant continued with her talk.
◇◇◇
On the other hand, behind a high school, a student was being bullied by another.
The bully was tall, with tanned skin, blonde hair, piercings in his nose, mouth, and ears. Kuugo Sappei was known as the most dangerous bully at the school; no one dared say anything to him, and no teacher even dared look at him.
Kuugo was brutally kicking the student in the stomach.
"What's this crap? You don't have my money? Huh?"
"Can't you get 10 thousand yen? You're a pig, so money should be no problem for you!"
"I-I..."
"Shut your mouth, pig, when a human is speaking!"
Kuugo's friends were smoking while watching.
"Seriously, what an idiot, getting beaten up over just 10 thousand yen."
"But the 10 thousand yen were from yesterday. Today it's another 10 thousand."
"In fact, the 10 thousand yen were from Monday. So he's already spent 30 thousand, meaning he owes 20 thousand."
"Hahaha, poor guy. I wouldn't want to be in his shoes."
"Kuugo-san, stop it, we need to meet up with the others at the pachinko."
Kuugo finished kicking the student, and after looking at him with contempt, he said:
"Listen to me, pig. Today is the last day of classes, and the spring break begins. By the time we return to classes in April, you better have not only the 20 thousand yen."
"I want you to gather, for every day you don't pay me, 10 thousand yen and give it to me. That's... uh, a lot of yen."
"If you don't do it..."
He got closer to him and offered a cigarette from a friend.
"I'll make you roasted pig. Don't even try to hide because I'll find you and kick you out."
"Let's go, bastards!"
"Goodbye, pig."
"I hope to meet some pretty girls."
"Your taste in girls is for the ugly ones."
Kuugo and his friends left, leaving the student abused.
No one helped him.
No one defended him.
No one would cry for him.
That's the sad life this guy, Yukimiya Yuuya, has to face every day.
And this is the story of how his life changed.
◇◇◇
Yukimiya Yuuya is 16 years old and lives in the metropolitan city of Tokyo.
Five years ago, his parents died while returning from their anniversary dinner, leaving him alone, and his only legal guardian never showed up.
Thanks to the family lawyer, he was able to live without any problems.
But at the age of 12-13, as is customary, all citizens must take a test to verify if they have the skills to become an adventurer.
Yuuya discovered that he could become one. This way, he could survive after his parents' inheritance ran out.
But life wasn't going to make it easy for him.
Yuuya was born with the lowest magical power of all, extremely low stats, so he was assigned rank E.
If his life as an adventurer was bad, his private life was even worse.
His physical appearance was unpleasant to his classmates, as he was overweight, short, had acne all over his body, bad breath, and to make matters worse, he was a closet pervert.
Although it's not clear if the latter was true, since it was spread by some girls just for comedy.
Yuuya was wandering aimlessly around the school yard.
"That damn Kuugo, since the school year started, he's been harassing me. Even though there are others, like Morishita, to bully, since he's deaf-mute and his family has money."
"Tch. Damn gangsters, if only my job were a good one, I'd give them a beating."
"And not just them, to those annoying girls who laugh at me, I'd make them lick my manhood while I look at them with superiority. Hehe."
Yuuya remembered Kuugo's words while fantasizing about the girls who mocked his appearance.
"I need to get money, but I don't want to go to the dungeon. I'm so weak that the only equipment I can use is a dagger the guild gives as a gift to all new members."
"Damn it. I have to do it or that bastard will keep beating me."
Yuuya went straight to Hamada Park, which was a few blocks from his school. It was the easiest place to get money, but being so weak, he needed help.
He wasn't the only one, weak or strong adventurers can't handle dungeons alone, which is why they formed "Party" to help each other and achieve profit.
Some parties are formed through a dungeon request.
Dungeons can be scheduled depending on their difficulty.
Just like adventurer ranks, there are dungeon ranks.
An E-rank dungeon has weak monsters and few magic stones.
In contrast to a high-ranked dungeon, such as B or A, which has more resources to exploit.
An improvised party was formed, and the party leader was a 53-year-old man, a veteran in dungeons.
There were times when he would become a dungeon instructor to earn some extra money.
"Nice to meet you all, I'm the leader of this party, Guuji Masahito. I'm a C-rank Monk, level 44."
Almost everyone present was surprised by the level before the rank.
This is because adventurer levels start from one, and they can only level up in the dungeon.
The level increases 1 point in stats.
And as the level increases, so does magical power.
To reach level 2, you need 10 experience points. While to reach level 3, you need 100 points.
Each level increases the required experience by an extra zero.
That's why many consider that the jobs and 'Skills' they have come from a game.
'Skills' are powers that vary by job; there are all kinds: to increase damage, life, defense, paralyze, etc.
These skills are acquired as you level up. There's no specification for what level you need, they just appear magically, so to speak.
But among all those skills, some don't have any, as there's at least one for every adventurer.
Some are born without them, but it's worse for those with a special job type.
"Unique job?"
"Yes."
Adventurers can open their Status Window, which displays information about their abilities, stats, and Job.
Yuuya's Job was "Unique Job," meaning no one else in the world shared that class.
At first glance, this might seem impressive—but in reality, it was quite the opposite.
Adventurers with Unique Jobs face severe disadvantages:
No existing information on how to use it
No one can help them develop it
No party wants them
In short, having a Unique Job is a curse.
"Did you check with the Guild to see if anyone in the records had a Job like yours?" Guuji asked.
"There are no registered cases..." Yuuya sighed.
"I see... Well, don't worry. You're not the first to come here with a Unique Job, especially as an E-rank."
He smiled confidently.
"That's why I'm here—to help you all earn easy money."
"Alright, we're all here... Wait, no—someone's missing... She's really late."
"I'm so sorry!"
Suddenly, a woman's voice echoed through the area.
"They say even a tiger will come if you call it..." Guuji muttered under his breath.
"Hey, Nishino-san..."
"..."
A stunning young woman between 18 and 20 years old came rushing in.
She wore what looked like a nurse's outfit.
Her long, light-brown hair swayed in the wind, and her green eyes resembled a tranquil lake.
"I-I'm really sorry! I couldn't leave my shift without finishing some paperwork."
"I understand. Let me introduce her."
Guuji gestured toward the young woman.
"This is our party's healer, Nishino Tenka—a B-rank Healer, Level 15."
Everyone was stunned by her high rank despite her relatively low level.
"Good... Now that we're all here... Let's move out!"
◇◇◇
"Aaaaah."
The inside of a dungeon varies from dungeon to dungeon and by its level.
Some of them range from eerie forests to structures similar to ancient civilizations.
The dungeon they entered was like a damp cave.
They were being attacked by goblins and slimes.
Everyone, except one person.
"Damn it."
Yuuya, with his almost destroyed knife, was facing a slime.
The slime, which was worth 5 experience points, was winning. With its attacks, similar to an ice-cold water balloon, Yuuya was being cornered.
No one helped him, as they were fighting larger goblins and slimes.
"How humiliating, being cornered by a blue blob."
He got angry and threw his knife at the slime, which absorbed it and returned it to him.
Yuuya dodged it, but cut his ear slightly.
The slime jumped toward him. Although it didn't do much damage, a slime could melt a person like acid would, but since it was small, it would die from lack of oxygen.
"Watch out!"
The slime was hit by a mace that destroyed its core.
It was Tenka, who defeated it while sweating.
"Are you okay?"
"S-Sorry."
"Good. Please stay by my side. I'm not that strong, but at least I'll protect you."
Yuuya listened to her and stayed behind her.
Tenka had a sense of responsibility, which is why, in addition to wanting to be a doctor, she was a healer.
Despite her good intentions, Yuuya's weren't.
He had been watching Tenka's large breasts for a while now, and now, in the position he was in, he was staring at her firm rear.
(She smells nice.)
(Damn, I'd love to use her as material, but I can't right now.)
Guuji and the others defeated the monsters.
One of the young men asked:
"Leader, why does a monster turn to ash when it dies?"
"Didn't they explain that to you in the introductory seminar at the guild?"
"We didn't really pay that much attention."
Sigh
"Listen, when monsters die, they turn to ash. There's no explanation for it; it just happens. But two things occur when it happens."
"The first is that nothing happens. The second is that a red stone falls."
"How does it look?"
A boy showed a small red stone.
"Yes, like that."
"We call those stones 'Magic Cores.' They're similar to magic stones, but they're used more for upgrading weapons or equipment."
"Sometimes, they drop weapons or 'Refinement Materials' that we use to fight stronger monsters."
"Listen carefully, don't ever underestimate them. Monsters may seem clumsy, but they're savage beasts and clever."
"Pick up everything you find and let's keep exploring."
Guuji was a wise leader. In no time, he had earned everyone's trust and respect.
Tenka looked at Yuuya to tell him they could continue.
"Let's go too. You can stay behind me until we exit the dungeon."
With a reliable and gentle smile, Tenka's kindness hurt Yuuya's heart as he thought obscenely about what kind of underwear she was wearing.
◇◇◇
"Be careful, this area is known for having many traps. Watch where you step."
"Understood."
Guuji and the others walked cautiously, while Tenka kept asking Yuuya if he was okay.
It was a usual routine for her, but something caught her attention.
"Excuse me, how old are you?"
"Me?"
"I'm 16 years old."
"Really? I thought you were younger. I was about to scold you."
In Japan, one can become an adventurer from the age of 15, but the government had issues with parents because of this, so they changed the law to allow only those who are of legal age to enter a dungeon.
Thus, starting from the age of 16, every Japanese person, whether male or female, is considered a young adult. And those over the age of 18 are considered full adults.
With this, the government got rid of many issues.
"Hehehe."
"Can I ask why you became an adventurer?"
"It's not that strange. I need money, a lot of it."
"And being an adventurer is the most lucrative job."
"You should quit."
"Huh?"
Yuuya stared at Tenka, who looked at him with a serious expression.
"Being an adventurer is no joke. I've seen many people get injured to the point where they couldn't reconnect their limbs, or the shock of seeing their insides was so great that they just stopped living."
"You still have time to quit. You're young, and you have a life ahead of you. Don't ruin it just for something like quick money."
"What do you know about me!"
Yuuya shouted at Tenka, his anger eating him up inside.
"You're telling me to stop being an adventurer? Because of what happened earlier?"
"That's right. I'm fucking weak, a damn fat weakling, so what?"
"My life is like this, and no one is going to change it!"
"I have to live this shitty life while people like you look down on me."
"Go to hell, I'll do what I want."
"Wait, I wasn't trying to look down on you. I'm really worried that you'll end up hurt."
"Shut up!"
Yuuya shoved Tenka, and in doing so, he didn't notice he stepped on a strange crack, which caused the floor they were standing on to break, and they fell through the hole.
Guuji rushed over and shouted their names.
"Nishino-san!"
"Yokomiya-kun!"
He mistakenly called Yuuya by the wrong last name.
◇◇◇
"It hurts. Where am I?"
Yuuya had fallen through a secret passage, just as Guuji had said, the place was full of them.
"It hurts."
He noticed a voice behind him—Tenka had fallen along with him.
Now that his mind was clearer, he thought about what he had said and how embarrassing it was.
He stood up and walked, leaving her behind.
Tenka saw this and tried to stand up.
"Kyah!"
She fell to her knees, noticing that her ankle was bleeding from the fall.
Still, she tried to stand, but Yuuya, feeling guilty, approached her.
"Do you want my shoulder?" Yuuya asked timidly.
"No, thanks," she replied angrily.
But despite her anger, the bleeding ankle made it impossible for her to walk.
She then accepted his offer and stood up.
She was taller than him, so she used him as a cane.
"Can't you heal your wound?"
"Sanitarians, for some reason, can't heal themselves."
"Besides, a healing elixir is expensive. My salary wouldn't even cover a fraction of it, haha."
They continued walking for a while, then Yuuya broke the silence.
"I'm sorry."
"Why are you saying that?"
"For everything."
"For protecting me, for being a burden, and for yelling at you."
"You were just trying to help me, and you ended up here."
"I think it's my fault too. I spoke without thinking of your reasons. I became an adventurer because I pay for my classes with that money."
"So, are we even?"
"Of course not."
"!...?"
Yuuya sweat when he heard she hadn't forgiven him yet.
"Invite me to eat something when we get out, and then I'll forgive you."
"Haha, sure."
Her warm and kind smile showed Yuuya that there were good people in his horrible life.
But life would soon remind him of who he was.
" Nishino-san! Yokomiya-kun!"
They heard Guuji's voice from a room, and Yuuya let go of Tenka for a moment to run toward them.
"I'll go call them, wait here."
"Alright."
Tenka sat down and then noticed something strange.
"What is this?"
There were bones all over the place, especially the ones she was touching, and they were fresh.
She shouted at Yuuya to stop.
"Yukimiya-kun, stop!"
"Guuji-san, we're here!"
When they entered the room where the voice was coming from, lights turned on, and a large group of goblins was inside.
They woke up when Yuuya entered, then he noticed a magic stone in the ceiling that was broadcasting his voice. Guuji's voice was coming through the stone.
He remembered Guuji's words.
"Don't underestimate the monsters." And with those words, cold sweat ran down his body as a gate released, and the goblins jumped straight at him.
"Yukimiya-kun!"
Tenka shouted as Yuuya saw a club coming toward his face, and the next moment,
He was staring at the ground while flipping.
Soon after, Guuji and the others arrived and found Tenka.
Guuji saw Tenka horrified and then Yuuya being beaten by the goblins.
"Damn."
He ran toward the gate, but when he touched it, a strong electric shock ran through him.
"This is… a magical barrier placed by a shaman."
"Damn it, we can't get in unless a sage or a druid breaks it."
"Everyone, let's go quickly to the outside to find the team that's outside!"
Guuji wanted to stay and send everyone out, but the place could have more traps, and they could end up in similar situations.
So, he had no choice but to leave Yuuya and bring help, praying that he was still alive.
"Let's go quickly!"
A few boys grabbed Tenka by the shoulders, but she resisted.
"No! Save him, please! Yukimiya-kun!"
"Nishino-san, we can't do anything to get in. We have to go outside and bring a sage to save him!"
"Those are goblins, and they enjoy having fun with their prey. They won't kill him until they get bored. We have to leave quickly and bring help."
"No! Are you telling me to leave that boy to his fate?"
"...Yes."
Tenka looked at Guuji's cold expression.
"Adventurers risk life and death every day. If we want to save him, we have to abandon him and bring someone who can break the spell of that room."
She didn't want to leave Yuuya, but Guuji knew he couldn't waste any more time. He lifted her onto his back and ran with the others.
"Noooooooooo!"
Yuuya watched as everyone left.
(Why does everyone abandon me?)
As he was continuously beaten like a piñata by the goblins.
They were rejoicing while using their fists or clubs against him.
(Why is this happening to me?)
One goblin broke his jaw, causing almost all his teeth to fly out.
Another hit him in the head with a rock, knocking him to the ground.
They proceeded to stomp on him, just like Kuugo did earlier.
On that blood-soaked and sandy ground, Yuuya could only curse his luck.
(Why is my life so disgusting?)
(I'm the laughingstock of everyone.)
(Everyone treats me like garbage.)
(I don't want this. Even if they say I deserve it for being a pig.)
(I don't want this!)
The abuse finally stopped.
Yuuya had several broken bones, internal organs pierced by his ribs, and internal bleeding.
At any moment, he would die like a stray dog.
He watched as the goblin leader laughed at him, then they all proceeded to do the same, urinating on him.
They were recognizing that their prey was so pathetic that they should just humiliate it before killing it.
Yuuya, with a face full of deep hatred, cursed this world.
(I don't know who gave me this power. But I'll kill you, I'll kill you even if I have to go to another world.)
Then the status window appeared, and there Yuuya saw his job.
"Hero" was written as the title of his job.
(What "Hero" bullshit?)
(You're just a worthless title that serves no purpose. If you're really one of those legendary heroes, then save me. Or better yet.)
(Change with me and take care of this shitty life, I'll give it to you.)
The goblin leader pulled out his sword and proceeded to swing it down to stab him.
"What are you waiting for, shitty job or whatever!"
"Bring that damn hero, or go to hell too!"
Then something strange happened. The status window showed a message to Yuuya that said: "Requirement accepted, an hero from another world will be summoned as a job, but the current user will disappear. Good luck in your new life."
◇◇◇
In another world, in a castle devastated by flames, illuminated by the light of the sun, a hero buried his sword into the ground.
He was panting from extreme exhaustion.
That was because in front of him lay a being known as the Demon King.
The Demon King had finally been defeated.
"Finally."
"Finally, I did it. I won."
"I've ended the Demon King, and peace will return to the world..."
The hero was happy.
But his happiness was interrupted by the sinister smile of the Demon King.
"Victory, you say? How naive you are, truly naive, Hero Yamato."
Hero Yamato approached the Demon King to wield his sword one last time.
"Demon King Diabolos. You have caused so much harm to humanity, and now, here and now, I will end your life so the world can be at peace again."
"That's why I laugh."
"Did you enjoy playing the hero?"
"Because that's all you were doing."
"There will be no peace in the world. All this time, you were just a..."
"Shut up!"
The hero proceeded to cut off his head and silence him forever. The Demon King died in the end.
The hero lost the strength in his legs and collapsed near a destroyed pillar.
"With this, it's over."
Tears began to fall from his cheeks, covered in mud and blood.
"With this, everyone can rest."
"I'm sorry, guys, I couldn't save you even though I promised I would."
"In the end, I'm a hero of empty words."
"But you can rest in peace, knowing your sacrifice wasn't in vain. The Demon King is dead, and there will be no more conflicts."
Suddenly, the sky darkened. The hero lifted his head to receive the warm rain of his victory.
But when he opened his eyes, he saw a beam of light approaching him at great speed.
"Huh?"
He couldn't react and was swallowed by the light.
◇◇◇
(It hurts. My head hurts.)
(All I remember is defeating the Demon King.)
The hero slowly began to open his eyes, and what he saw was terrifying.
A goblin was rapidly bringing down its knife towards him.
He moved his head to the side, and the knife got lodged in his side.
Quickly, he looked around.
(I have no idea what happened. I was in the Demon King's castle, and now I'm in a cave.)
The hero shook his arms and managed to break free from the goblins' grip. He rolled and a goblin came at him.
With a quick movement, he threw a punch, but the hero was mortified when he saw his arm.
(Why is my arm so short and chubby?)
(Not only that, my body feels so heavy.)
(What is this?!)
(My stomach is huge, and my legs are also short.)
(What is happening to me?)
The hero was still confused, but there was no time to think about his physical state.
The goblins were coming towards him.
He quickly dug his fingers into one of them to steal its knife.
He drove the dagger into its neck and then used its body to make another goblin attack him. Once the goblin drove its spear into its comrade's body, the hero took the spear and buried the opposite end into its throat.
He withdrew the spear and proceeded to slit its throat.
Then he lunged to attack the remaining goblins.
The hero didn't think about anything else but eliminating his enemies.
Each and every one of the goblins was killed brutally.
Only two goblins remained: the goblin leader and the goblin shaman.
The goblin leader gave orders to the shaman, and the shaman began casting a spell, intending to protect him to kill the hero.
But the hero already knew he would react like this.
"My arm strength isn't very strong, and my muscles show no signs of exercise."
"Still, at this distance, all I need is this."
He broke part of the spear and then took some distance and threw it towards the shaman.
The spear pierced the shaman's eye, and he began screaming in pain as a great amount of blood poured out.
The goblin leader watched as his best card rolled on the ground, and finally understood his situation.
He was cornered.
The victim they had lured was actually their prey.
The dozen goblins were defeated, but the leader wasn't going to give up without a fight.
He quickly approached the hero, but it was already too late.
"Don't you still get it?"
The hero grabbed the goblin's arm, took the sword from his hand, and brought it to his jugular.
"You've already lost."
With force, he drove the sword into its neck, and the goblin lost its life with each drop of blood that poured.
He then approached the still-living shaman, and when he stepped on its throat to finish it off,
"Huh?"
A strong blow came at him.
The blood loss the body had suffered finally took its toll.
The gate covered by a spell opened, and voices of people could be heard from the outside.
He fell to the ground, and before passing out, he saw a transparent blue screen.
The screen indicated that the Hero job had disappeared and now said "Void," along with a message saying he had learned a skill called "Great Berserker."
His consciousness faded.
