Chapter Nine
His voice was filled with magic, a deep and magnetically rich baritone that made her whole body uncharacteristically melt.
A tint of red clouded her cheeks, adorning her mood.
As he spoke, he was about to turn his face to kiss her.
Sofia Hamilton quickly reached out to cover his mouth, her eyes smiling as she met his gaze, "I haven't made my choice yet."
She curved her lips into a smile, "What do you want to eat? I'll go make it for you."
"I want to eat you," he said indistinctly, his words muffled as she covered his mouth, making them unclear.
Sofia laughed, feeling his breath tickle her palm, "Other than me, I'll give you one more chance."
"Well..." he thought for a moment and realized there truly wasn't anything he especially wanted to eat.
But as long as she cooked it, he loved it.
Because it was possible this might be the last time he would eat something made by her in this lifetime.
Thinking of this, Ryan Gregory felt a sharp pang in his chest.
