A tone clearly closer to an order than warning.
Kun looked at Luna without hiding his displeasure. Even within Zipfel, aside from Veradin and Elona, there was no one else who could speak to him so impolitely.
'What's with the commanding tone? So what if you're White Whale?'
[T/L: If you have an issue then say it out loud.]
Luna remained expressionless in the face of Kun's hostile gaze.
'..... No, listening to what she just said, even their side should avoid conflict with us as much as possible? Then why is she picking a fight like this?'
With each passing moment, Kun had a multitude of thoughts running through his head.
'What's this, if I don't back down, are we really going to fight? Geez, that's quite a burden. It goes against the patriarch's orders... and, above all, can I actually win if we fight? When I heard the rumors, it seemed feasible, but now that I've met her in person... She is quite formidable. Is she really not the Genesis Knight?'
It's burdensome. Kun was beginning to regret his staring contest with Luna. Rather than provoking her, he should have calmly ordered his troops to withdraw. Now, if he backed down, it would be a matter of honor.
"Hey, Kun. Didn't you hear what the 1st Flagbearer just said? Should I remind you?"
As soon as Luntia spoke, Kun almost showed a surprised expression.
Unlike Luna, Luntia emitted a sharp killing intent from her entire body, as if she could tear Kun apart right now. The protective shield of the Zipfel fleet even vibrated in response to this killing intent.
Kun calmed his startled heart and lowered his head.
"Hmm! Jeez, you are not even a hooligan, but I'm scared to death. Anyway, until we kill the public enemy, there's nothing good about fighting like this without manners."
"Runcandel and Zipfel aren't exactly known for their manners. They're both hooligans. Isn't that right, little master?"
"...That's correct, Third Flagbearer. 1st Flagbearer only gave Zipfel a chance to preserve their fleet, but it seems like he is overreacting."
"Ugh! Fine, you win. You win. I guess the more reasonable side has to concede. Zipfel fleet, withdraw. We'll rejoin after the front is sorted out."
In the end, Kun issued the order. Cold sweat was dripping from his back. As soon as the fleet withdrew, Luna smiled at him.
"A wise choice. I'll remember this, Kun."
Kun didn't respond and returned to the bridge of his flagship.
"Well done, Commander of the Magic Golem Corps," water dragon Thiel said as she stood by Kun's side.
"Phew, at least since most of our troops are living golems, so our reputation isn't completely tarnished. The rest of the dragons and humans are in your hands, Thiel. I brushed it off casually, but it would be embarrassing if someone saw that I hesitated."
"Since the White Whale turned fifteen, we've had this saying among our Zipfel clan. Never fight with Luna Runcandel unless she makes a fatal mistake."
As soon as Thiel finished speaking, hundreds of meteor showers poured across the sky beyond the bridge. The purple protective shield surrounding the entire right defensive line shattered like glass, and most of the demons who came to counterattack were swept away by the meteor shower and shockwaves, disappearing without a trace.
"Oh, my... What is this? For once I thought it's Lady Elona? She's insane, absolutely insane."
"Don't feel embarrassed about it. It's actually praiseworthy that you made a proper retreat against White Whale."
As if the meteor shower was not enough, Luna demonstrated overwhelming power with Heaven Shatterer and completely shattered the demon's protective shields.
In just over ten seconds, she completely destroyed the front line of the right defensive line. Of course, the massive shockwaves were still pounding Zipfel's protective shield far behind.
It was clear to Kun that if he had let his pride get the best of him and not ordered the retreat of his fleet, things could have taken a different turn.
"Since Ms. Thiel said that, I feel a little relieved. Well, she said they'd take care of the annoying stuff first, so there was no need to object."
"That's right, Commander of the Magic Golem Corps. The bear takes the honey, and we show our skill... No, it's the opposite. The bear shows its skill, and we take the honey. We just need to play our part and secure the biggest share when the time is right."
Kun and Thiel burst into laughter like fools, clapping their hands. However, from time to time, they were startled and stopped laughing when they felt a powerful shock from Luna's direction.
"Open the way. You small fries can't stop us anyway."
Luntia shouted as she released her sword energy. The battleship from the True Demon World was split in half by her sword energy, and the explosion of its power sources engulfed nearby demons in flames.
The battle continued with Luna and Luntia breaking through each side, unleashing one-sided slaughter.
Syris, along with Mort, positioned herself behind Luna and Luntia, tirelessly creating the ice foothold they would step on. At times, she created snowstorms to tie down the enemies in one place, making it easier for the flagbearers to kill them.
It may seem like an insignificant role, but it wasn't. Predicting the speed and paths of the Runcandel flagbearers and creating suitable footholds every moment required excellent sight for reading the flow of the battle.
"Block them! Block them with your bodies to delay their entry by even a second!"
The commander who gave that order met a swift death due to the location being revealed by his own voice. The flagbearers didn't indiscriminately slaughter the enemies but rather prioritized eliminating those with commanding authority. This was to ensure that the enemy couldn't issue tactical commands. Even if they had a large army, without proper leadership, they would be nothing more than disarray.
Realizing this fact, the demon commanders hesitated to give orders. Even making a sound could result in their throats being severed or their bodies torn apart.
Sw-Swoosh-!
As a result, the demons began using signal flares, but even that didn't work.
Before the signal flares could shoot high into the sky to convey their message, the flagbearers' swords had already cut them down.
In a matter of seconds, hundreds of demons were killed every second. Despite the chaotic battle with fresh troops constantly replacing the fallen, Luna and Luntia never missed the location of the signal flares.
In other words, the demons gathered at the right-first defense line couldn't communicate with each other despite their large numbers. They felt as if they were trapped not on a battlefield but in darkness.
Furthermore, the right defense line had relatively weaker demons deployed compared to the other defense lines. This was because Vamel alliance's, the Lutero Magic Federation's, and Kinzelo's main force were directly attacking other defense lines.
Although the demon troops numbered in billions, most of them had not yet emerged from the hell.
In other words, with only this amount of troops on the surface, there will inevitably be a gap in Grosch Castle's defenses.
"You have been troubling us with your numbers and transfer fractures, and it seems like you are finally revealing your weaknesses. Even though the forces of the human world have begun to attack Grosch Castle directly, there's no increase in fractures on our territory, so it's clear."
Luna said as she slashed the back of the fleeing demon commander. Her crimson sword aura dug into his flesh and tormented him.
"Kraaaaah...!"
"It seems like you're roughly equivalent to a commander. But with this many subordinates, where were you planning to run?"
The demon commander couldn't answer due to the excruciating pain caused by the crimson sword aura digging into his body. However, Luna didn't expect or need an answer. She didn't ask to hear his response.
"What about Grosch Castle? You might as well try to teleport into the castle with your fancy teleportation magic, but you'll end up meeting me again sooner or later. Or your real headquarters underground? Even if you run there, you'll eventually meet me again."
"Khuuh..."
"Whether on the surface or underground, there is no land left in this world where you can run and survive. So, if possible, stand and fight honorably against me until you die. Wouldn't it be a shame if your last memory before dying is nothing more than running away?"
That deep voice instantly amplified and resonated throughout the entire battlefield. Not only demons, but also Zipfel's fleet, which cautiously began moving forward again in the rear, were listening clearly.
"Since none of you will seek mercy and surrender, you already wasted the opportunity given by our young patriarch. So, come at me with dignity, prove to me that there's at least one among you who is worthy of being taken down by Krantel."
Before the corpse of the commander had completely disintegrated due to the crimson aura, two more demon commanders were killed by Luna and Luntia's blows, respectively.
Suaaargh...!
The expanding sword energy spread like a tidal wave, and countless rank and file troops died. Most of the demons couldn't even recognize the swords of the flagbearers who were killing them, only Luna's voice was vivid in their minds.
Despite slaughtering so many enemies, the two of them showed no signs of exhaustion. Not even their hair was wet, and their breathing remained calm.
Within a radius of a thousand yards around them, there wasn't a single living demon left. Only the corpses, burning or scattered into particles, flowed like a sandstorm.
Even the demons several thousand yards away within their striking range were as good as dead, and they already experienced death at the hands of the flagbearers.
The flagbearers advanced forward, stepping on the ice foothold created by Syris. Every time they approached, the demon soldiers on the defense line retreated like frightened beasts.
Before the flagbearers even swung their swords, the ranks crumbled, and the commanders still couldn't give orders.
"Luntia."
"Yes, unnie."
"Let's pick up the pace from now on. It looks like the youngest is about to start breaking through to the third defense line, so we should speed up too. This defense line is filled with weaker ones."
"It means not giving Zipfel a chance to take any glory. Good, we must be the protagonists in history who conquered the true demon world."
Luna and Luntia straightened their posture again with stoic expressions. As they began to raise their energy, the sea vibrated, and giant whirlpools formed all around.
