Back on the Sea God, Chu Mingcheng threw the dead anglerfish onto the deck, where it immediately flattened like a pile of rotting flesh.
But its bloated belly indicated that there was a lot inside.
Wanting to savor the freshest liver, Chu Mingcheng couldn't freeze the fish now; he had to process the anglerfish first.
He didn't bother to shower and went to fetch the fish-killing knife, as well as foam boxes and plates.
First came the skinning. With a gentle slice of the knife, the skin of the anglerfish was cut.
Then, Chu Mingcheng grabbed the skin with both hands and pulled hard, peeling it away to reveal the delicate pink flesh underneath.
Skining an anglerfish felt completely different from skinning a pilchard, but both were quite stress-relieving.
Some people are born too kind and timid. Though they eat meat, their hearts resist the killing to some extent.
