"Gary has disappeared, he left the hospital," Wolf's first words on the phone stunned Jiang Shu.
"Disappeared? When did this happen?" Jiang Shu reflexively asked.

Hadn't he lost his right leg and arm? How could he disappear in such a state?
"It's been a few days, I just got the news myself," Wolf said gravely, "Tang and the others went looking for him right away, and only made it public when they absolutely couldn't find him."
"He couldn't move on his own, could he? Hadn't prosthetics been fitted yet?" Jiang Shu still found it very strange.
Normally, especially so soon after an injury, unless there were special circumstances, prosthetic doctors would not agree to fit prosthetics.
