Chapter 26 - Piccolo

Three Years Later – Age 760

For the last three years, Alex had traveled across the world, training and gaining experience. Now, he found himself walking through a dense forest, an eerie silence hanging in the air.

As he emerged onto a cliff, he spotted a figure sitting in deep meditation. The green-skinned warrior wore a white turban, a blue gi, and a flowing white cape.

Alex immediately recognized him. Piccolo.

His instincts told him to turn and leave before he was noticed. He took a careful step back—

"Tch."

Before Alex could take another step, Piccolo's eyes snapped open.

"Who are you? Get lost before I get angry," Piccolo said, his gaze locking onto Alex. Then, his eyes narrowed at Alex's uniform. "Wait… you're that old man's disciple, aren't you?"

Alex sighed. There was no point in lying now. "Yes, I trained under Master Roshi."

Piccolo smirked as he rose to his feet. "Perfect. I was looking for a warm-up. My world domination starts with you."

Alex raised an eyebrow. Really? "I mean, sure, you could beat me… but do you really think you can defeat Go—"

Before he could finish, Piccolo was already in front of him.

"Do NOT mention his name!"

A devastating punch slammed into Alex's chest, sending him hurtling backward through the forest. Trees shattered as he crashed through them, finally coming to a stop against a thick tree trunk.

"D-damn it… I didn't think that through," Alex groaned, trying to push himself up.

Suddenly, Piccolo's elongated arm shot forward, grabbing Alex's ankle. "Where do you think you're going?" He yanked Alex toward him.

Thinking fast, Alex extended his palm. BOOM! A sudden Ki blast exploded at Piccolo's face, forcing him to release his grip. Alex flipped backward and landed a safe distance away, panting as the dust settled.

Piccolo emerged from the smoke, completely unharmed. "Not bad. You're strong—for a human." He smirked. "But if that's all you've got, this fight is already over."

Alex clenched his fists. "That was just a warm-up."

He took a deep breath and began removing his weighted clothing—his armbands, undershirt, and boots. As the last piece hit the ground, he rolled his shoulders and cracked his neck.

That's better.

Piccolo scoffed. "You think dropping some extra weight will help? Don't make me laugh."

Alex smirked. "We'll see."

With that, he vanished.

Piccolo's eyes widened. "What—"

Alex reappeared in front of him, striking him square in the face. The force sent Piccolo soaring into the sky, his cape billowing as he spun backward. He barely managed to stabilize himself in midair.

"How dare you!" Piccolo roared, his eyes burning with fury. Energy crackled around him as he unleashed a barrage of Ki blasts.

Alex reacted instantly, dashing across the battlefield and creating afterimages to evade the attacks. Explosions erupted all around him, but Piccolo was striking nothing but illusions.

Alex appeared behind him, preparing to hammer him down—

WHAM!

Before he could land his attack, Piccolo vanished.

Then, pain exploded in Alex's stomach.

Piccolo's knee had buried itself deep into his gut, sending him rocketing backward. Alex coughed violently, barely managing to stop himself midair before charging in again.

Their battle continued, a flurry of punches and kicks exchanged as they darted through the sky, the landscape below suffering from their clash.

At first, they seemed evenly matched. But soon, the difference in their power became clear. Piccolo's blows landed harder, his attacks sharper. Alex was holding on, but he was losing ground fast.

Piccolo, growing irritated, finally had enough.

"ENOUGH!" he bellowed, his voice shaking the battlefield. "I'm done playing games."

He threw off his cape and turban, cracking his neck. "This ends now."

Before Alex could react, Piccolo disappeared.

A crushing impact struck his stomach.

Alex's vision blurred as the air was forced from his lungs. He barely registered Piccolo's fist buried in his gut before he was slammed into the ground.

"Gah!"

Alex groaned, trying to push himself up—

A hand clamped around his throat.

Piccolo lifted him into the air, glaring at him with murderous intent. "Any last words before I send you to hell?"

Alex smirked weakly. "Yeah… Solar Flare!"

A blinding white light erupted from his hands.

"AAAHH! MY EYES!" Piccolo roared, covering his face.

Alex took his chance. He drove a powerful kick into Piccolo's chin, sending him flying backward before vanishing into the remains of the forest.

Piccolo hovered midair, rubbing his eyes as his vision slowly returned.

"WHERE DID YOU GO, YOU COWARD?!" he shouted, scanning the area.

No response.

Piccolo growled in frustration. Tch. What a waste of time.

He turned and flew away.

A few minutes later, Alex peeked out from behind a massive boulder, breathing heavily. His entire body ached. Reaching into his pocket, he pulled out a small bean and popped it into his mouth.

Immediately, his strength increased . "Wow… I feel incredible." He clenched his fists, sensing the power flowing through him. "But… it's still not enough."

With renewed determination, Alex retrieved his weighted clothes, put them back on, and walked away.
