As Alex approached Capsule Corp, he heard raised voices. Yamcha and Bulma were arguing, and before he could make out the details, Yamcha flew off in frustration. Bulma sighed, looking dejected—until she noticed him.
"Uhm, I'm sorry if I'm bothering you, Bulma. I'll come another time," Alex said awkwardly, turning to leave.
"Wait," Bulma called out, waving him back. "You don't have to feel awkward. Yamcha and I argue all the time." She forced a smile. "Anyway, did you get your wish?"
"Yeah, I did. Thanks to you," Alex replied, handing her the Dragon Radar.
Bulma took it, her expression softening. "I won't ask what you wished for. Even my wish wasn't exactly noble. But you're not just here to return this, are you?" She raised a suspicious eyebrow.
"Actually, I wanted to ask you for Master Roshi's address," Alex admitted.
Bulma smirked. "If you're looking for the old pervert, I can take you there." She pulled out a capsule, tossing it onto the ground. In a puff of smoke, a plane materialized. "Anything to get my mind off things," she muttered before hopping in.

Kame House
After a short flight, they landed near Kame House. On the beach, Krillin was practicing his strikes, while Master Roshi and Turtle lounged under an umbrella. Roshi, of course, was reading a certain magazine.
"Hey guys, did you miss me?" Bulma called as she stepped out.
"Oh, I missed a lot!" Roshi grinned, immediately launching himself toward her—only to be stopped mid-air by a frying pan to the face.
BAM!
Bulma huffed. "I missed you too, Master Roshi."
Krillin chuckled as he finished his routine. "Hey, Bulma! Nice to see you. Uh… where's Yamcha?" He hesitated before glancing at the newcomer. "Wait, did you guys break up? Is this your new boyfriend?"
Bulma rolled her eyes. "Don't be stupid, Krillin. Yamcha and I just had a fight. And this," she gestured to Alex, "is Alex. He's just a friend. He wanted to meet Master Roshi."
Krillin turned to him. "So you're Alex, huh? Nice to meet you. I'm Krillin."
Alex smiled. "Nice to meet you too, Krillin. Are you training for the next World Martial Arts Tournament?"
Krillin shrugged. "Nah, just my daily routine."
Alex observed him carefully. He's short, but not as tiny as Super made him look. He's 5'1" here—not a literal child like in the anime.
Krillin frowned. "I feel like you're thinking something rude about me."
Alex coughed. "Uh, no! I was just thinking about how strong you are."
"So, Alex," Master Roshi suddenly appeared beside him, making Alex flinch. "Bulma says you were looking for me. What for?"
Alex straightened. "I wanted to train under the legendary Master Roshi… but are you really him?" He gave the old man a skeptical look.
Of course, I knew he was the real deal, but a little acting wouldn't hurt, right?
Roshi's face turned red. "H-Hey! I am Master Roshi, you brat!"
Bulma smirked. "He might act like an old pervert, but yeah, he's the real deal."
Roshi stroked his beard. "Hmm… If you doubt me, how about a spar with my student, Krillin?"
Krillin blinked. "Master, are you sure? I mean… he looks fit for a normal guy, but isn't this kind of overkill?"
"It's just a spar," Roshi reassured him. "No need to go all out." He turned back to Alex. "So, what do you say? Impress me, and I'll consider training you."
Alex smirked. "I accept."
